“Watching a pixel type can be very disorienting, no real depth to them- no matter which way you approach, they always appear flat. This illusion has been used to great effect in the arts world, both with the TCPs themselves as actors, and the objects they create as props.” | ID: 0156 |

Ability: DEREZZED Pixel types, at the cost of health, can 'de-rez' objects, turning them into 2-dimensional facsimiles of their former selves. These de-rezzed objects exist in an odd sort of limbo between 2D and 3D- while you can look at them from any angle, it will always look as if it is a 2-dimensional image superimposed on your vision. Touching one is best described as odd- it feels solid in your hand and retains the same shape as it had previously, but there is an accompanying feeling that resembles the tingly feeling one gets when their hand goes numb. De-rezzed objects do not interact any differently with the rest of the world, and all mechanical devices appear to still be functional after being de-rezzed. |
|
Physical Appearance: Pixel types appear identical to a basic TCP, but share the characteristics of a de-rezzed object.
Voice: Standard TCP babbling, but digitally compressed into 8-bit garbles.
Skin: Standard skin, albeit pixelated.
Fluid: Standard fluid, albeit pixelated.
Special Attributes: None
Other Notes: Pixel types prefer to be inside in fairly empty rooms, and often keep all their personal belongings fairly square. They often end up as artists and illusionists, or they end up as art critics with a keen eye for smaller issues in work. This also makes them excellent programmers, with a knack for finding and fixing the problems other types may ignore, almost obsessively. Pixel types can be outgoing and energetic, but shy away from large groups of other cats, seeming to worry about being scrutinized for not seeming normal. They do quite well talking one on one though, finding creative ways to express themselves when body language fails. They like a wide variety of foods in their diets, some insisting different food give them different levels of healing or power ups and energy boosts. It is unclear if this is just a collective imagination or something we have just been unable to test for. Pixel types can squeeze their bodies through comically small spaces which also means they can get stuck very easily. This means they either get crafty on how they get out of this, or they have a detailed list of who to call for what emergency situation. |
