They are known to, naturally, be very adaptable to what life throws at them. Mimic octopus make great actors, especially in improv settings, using their ability to change color and shape to their advantage. There has been a lot of reported mimic octopus used as stunt doubles in films as well. They are very social creatures, thriving off copying people around them, but this also makes other cats feel like they don't truly know the octopus. They do avoid other octopus type cats and can become hostile when not expecting one to appear. They almost exclusively eat seafood type foods, with a preference for crab and fish, but sometimes enjoy fresh vegetables as a treat. Mimic octopus are known to wear their emotions on their sleeve, often becoming darker when upset and brighter when startled. Pointing this out to them can be quite embarrassing for the cat, and you may see them visibly try to make themselves smaller.
