Memory Type

“Memory types are known for their ability to cloud memories and make people forget- but the opposite can have just as big an effect. Imagine being unable to forget a certain memory, always having it in the back of your mind.”

Type: Memory
Category: Abstract
Height: 7 inches
Max Health: PERFECT (8)

Memory types can sacrifice health to enter an ascended form and reveal or obscure memories in the target's mind. They cannot create new memories, nor can they completely eliminate existing ones- although they can obscure them to the point of being unreachable by the target. They can also control which parts of the memory the target focuses on the most- such as the texture of a particular object or the smell of a room.
Physical Appearance: Memory types have a large chevron marking on their torso that continues to their arms and legs. They have small upward earnubs and round abstract eyespots with small extrusions resembling tears.
Voice: Standard TCP babbling, but almost etherial.
Skin: Standard skin.
Fluid: Standard fluid, with small hearts floating inside.
Special Attributes: None.
Other Notes: Memory types often seek out quieter places to live, with a fondness for abandoned buildings that some cats find creepy. The older an area is the stronger a memory type feels about it, with a lot of them struggling to leave homes they've inhabited for long times, even when necessary. These cats are known to hold onto memories of events and traditions for a long time, with some becoming historians, and some being reached out to for biographies. They can struggle socially, while many want connections it can become painful to look into the memories of their friends and leads to them leaving without much warning. They don't seem to have an instinctual preference for foods, but they are very picky about their personal tastes, struggling to try new things unless someone can persuade them. It's been said that large groups of memory type hybrids will meet at the edge of dead zones, but it's unclear if there is a reason.
