ID: 0166
Type: Iron Snail
Category: Creature
Height: 8 inches
Max Health: PERFECT (8)
Ability: Data pending.
Physical Appearance: Iron snail cats will look like mostly shell, flakey iron, and a small head. Their shells are large and rounded, with patterned stripes curling inward (the pattern being three colored stripes repeated, intersected by thin stripes between layers). Their heads are stadium and somewhat small, with two circular eyespots towards the bottom and two long rounded ear nubs towards the top that act as antenna. Their bodies are covered in curved arrow shaped plates of metal called sclerites.
Voice: Squelching and the clinking of metal hitting metal
Skin: Thick hard shell, layers of iron, and a very sticky body
Fluid: Standard fluid, a bit stickier with tiny flecks of iron
Special Attributes: Data pending.
Other Notes: Iron snails are very hardy cats and do best in extreme conditions. They naturally live deep underwater near thermal vents and need environments that are both wet and rich in iron and other minerals. They do not do well in hot and dry environments and may curl up in their shell to avoid drying up. They're not a cat who shy's away from danger, being willing to take more risks then you'd assume at first glance, but they know their limits. They're not always the most social cats, but they can become a wonderful ally if trust is gained. They require a lot of water and iron naturally, so lean towards food that provide that, but many also enjoy extremely spicy food claiming it “reminds them of home.” Iron snail shell are made of three layers, the outer most being made of iron sulfides (one being Pyrite and the other being greigite), the middle which seems to be made heat resistant and strong enough to avoid squeezing attacks, and the inner layer which is similar to regular snails. The greigite in some shells actually makes the cats magnetic, so some enjoy patrolling beaches and shores and finding buried treasures.
