Bear Type

“Despite their size and large claws, many bear types just enjoy being warm and cozy. Try and wake one on a cold day, however, and their demeanor quickly shifts…”

ID: 0242
Type: Bear
Category: Creature
Height: 8 inches
Max Health: PERFECT (8)
Ability: WINTER SNOOZE

Bear types influence others to hibernate in response to cold weather.
Physical Appearance: Bear types have large claws on their hands and smaller ones on their feet. They have a large tuft of fur around their neck, as well as tiny dot eyespots, small curved earnubs, and a triangular nose.
Voice: Low growls and groans.
Skin: Rough medium-length fur.
Fluid: Standard fluid.
Special Attributes: None.
Other Notes: Bear types avoid cold climates usually due to their ability but seem to prefer places with regular weather cycles. They're a lot more common in areas with heavy woods, and on hot days are often seen in groups lounging by rivers. Bear types have been known to take up fishing, swimming, wood carving, and hiking as common hobbies, and are sought out sometimes by first time campers for advice. Smaller amounts have been known to become performers. They're not known to generally be social but are very protective of those they want around them. Other creature types, particularly those that would be considered prey animals, may express a fear of bear types, but there isn't a real danger among cats. They prefer meat type foods, with a love for fish. If meat is not an option, they may like berries or mushrooms. These cats have a surprisingly good sense of smell, rivaling even dog types in their ability to find things. Missing hikers may find themselves surrounded by bears, hopefully they are helpful ones.
