Cocker spaniel types do best with access to both indoor and outdoor environments, and prefer the former for rest and shelter, with the latter for play and recreation. Like many other dog subtypes, they enjoy games and sports, and many find themselves pursuing regular exercise regimens to get their energy out. They are a highly social TCP type and typically take great comfort in being around other people, the closer, the better. Cocker spaniel types prefer meaty food type diets, but are more than happy to sample any kind of food. Their fur requires constant maintenance to keep its waves clean and lush looking, but many find it to be a worthwhile endeavor.
