| Ability: STOP AND REFLECT Pause types can sacrifice health to enter an ascended form and pause time in an area around them, with themself excluded. They can lift, carry, and move objects around them during this time, and can alter the trajectory of a thrown object. Other beings caught in the effect will not experience the passage of time during the pause. |

| Other Notes: Pause types are found in quieter places, mostly sticking to towns that are less technologically advanced. Technology, with all of its stimulation overload, can be overwhelming for these TCPs, though some manage better than others. Video games seem like a common avenue for managing this stress, with the wide variety of genres available. They're known to be fans of quiet activities you can do alone and pick up or stop as needed, like books and puzzles. They need a way to get out of things or they become distressed. They generally only have a few close friends who they can relax with and avoid large crowds a majority of the time. They seem to like snack food type pieces and TV dinners, and don't enjoy foods that have to stay hot or cold to enjoy. In some small communities, a trend of magicians and illusionists sneaking pause types into their hats and rigging their paid shows have caused controversy and discussions of legislation restricting time-based abilities. |
