Maine coon types are often found near places that have cold winters and warm summers, near water. They are surprisingly adaptable to many places but may need to have their fur trimmed if they plan to live somewhere particularly hot. They are often good at swimming, farming, fishing, “hunting”, or modeling, but most just enjoy spending time on the water. While often viewed as a pampered breed, they are working cats who thrive off having things to do. They're social cats, who love having friends and love having attention. Cuddling while napping is a favorite activity among them, but not all maine coons want to be touched unless particularly close. They love fish and other meats usually, with some also expressing a fondness in shellfish. Maine coons can mimic other tcp sounds with surprising ease, usually sticking to mice and birds naturally but they can learn to imitate more complicated sounds. This doesn't mean it perfect, but its still a party trick that entertains many people.
