CW: poverty, homelessness

Bugle, a neon pink, cyan, and black spider/clown hybrid tcp hops off of a taxi in a hurry. He fumbles with his belongings, and for once he's almost thankful for his multitude of arms from his spider half. He wasn't able to grab all of his things, unfortunately. His bigger furniture and a good portion of his game collection was left behind in the kershuffle. All he had now was his Spectersphere, his Gameway, their accompanying games, and his trusty lamp. Hopefully next time he had to move shop he'd be more prepared.

The taxi driver shouts at him about something, but he was far enough now that he couldn't make it out. They were probably cussing him out for skimping their pay. He hated to do it, but he was scraping the bottom of his savings as it was. He needed to make sure to have enough money for basic necessities. And this was the only transportation that didn't make him pay upfront.

He rushed to the door, checking over his shoulder briefly to make sure that the driver wasn't leaving the vehicle, and knocked. He shuffled with his bags uncomfortably in the brisk night air as he waited. Gods, it was late. He hoped they hadn't gone to bed already.


...No, he shouldn't worry about it. Just gotta be chill. Just...chill. Everything was gonna be alright.

Me + a friend collect old, obscure, and abandoned video games, especially simulation and multiplayer games, some complex-made, others TCP-made. We were thinking of making a blog detailing the history and fan-culture around these games, what it's like to play them, and possibly finding ways to distribute them to work on newer computers

I'm doing an interest check thread for this because that means my friend and I would have to coordinate on how we design this website, and possibly look into the costs of running a website. Or if anyone else on these forums has owned a website before and has recommendations for some cheap or even free options. I have no idea how much it costs to run a site

The first article draft we have been working on is for a multiplayer role-playing simulation game called Pirate Pub, if anyone has heard of that. And if you haven't it'll be a great way to learn about it. Maybe we could get a server running for this community on that game?

hey, everyone! i've started up a new virtual pet project...but this one's my own game! the weather around here has made it impossible to leave the house, and i work from home anyway...so i started my dream project. i had to look up a lot about coding and found a language that's meant for more visual people to work with, and i've managed to get the basic AI done in the past few weeks as well as my first pet model!

meet...a tiny virtual crackle!


i named this guy party, my first non-test subject pet. i'm thinking about calling the individual pets "friends", because the name of the game is FriendZoo...and like the title implies, i'm starting with actual morbit creatures! i might do some mythical stuff, and i've got some collab stuff with other users in the works, but uhh, real animals in funky colors is my goal for now.

the AI still needs some tweaks, breeding's not in yet, but i managed to get a basic baby -> adult life cycle (i don't want them to die yet tho, i may implement that as an optional mode?), and color randomization. they can interact with each other, and i'm at the stage where i want to start logging progress publicly- both just playing the game, and making new content. i eventually want to release a beta build, but for now, any feedback on what i post would be cool!

on the more silly "pet journal" side of things, i adopted two other friends than party- well...adopted one of them, the other probably came as a result of my ability getting even more messed up than it usually is by the storm. hopefully, the final game won't be haunted! back to my two other friends, though...

the other crackle i have is speckle, who i did not put in my game! as you can tell, he's got kind of a silly, creepypasta look. i guess my ability is just gonna make weird little guys show up!

i want to learn more about them...stay tuned, i guess!
