Welcome back to the Bot Arena! Today's installment is going to be a bit shorter, as we really only have one new item to cover. Today's match is in The Colosseum against Asklepios, Nemesis, and Hephaistos.
 

"Jackhammers? Seriously? There's so many better weapon options at this point..."

As you can see, Nemesis and Hephaistos aren't anything too special, but Asklepios is using a weapon we've never seen before- in fact, it's technically not a weapon at all! The Zeni PRS is a molecular distributor that can restore structural integrity to robots by rearranging the molecules on damaged parts, slowly bending them back into shape. Similar tools are used in most workshops outside of matches, but this is the first time we'll be seeing a portable unit in the arena itself.

The redistributor is mounted on the weapons platform of a robot, and it cannot be used offensively- meaning that any robot equipped with one of these will be completely unable to attack opponents. Obviously these aren't going to help us at all, since there's no one else for Schmoo to heal and she'd be completely defenseless with a distributor equipped, but they are going to appear in a few upcoming matches.

For this match we'll be giving Schmoo the Torrika KR-2. Since Nemesis and Hephaistos are both using jackhammers, there's no need for specialty long-range weapons here. Staying out of range of Nemesis and Hephaistos will be the easy part here- the hard part will be making sure to damage Asklepios. Any robot with a distributor equipped is smart enough to avoid enemy robots entirely, even attempting to hide behind teammates when they can, and while we can kind of control Schmoo's movement, there's no way to control her targeting system- she'll always fire at the closest target regardless of what orders she's given. So the difficulty in this match lies in maneuvering Schmoo in such a way that she's able to deal damage to Asklepios without getting hit too much by Nemesis and Hephaistos in the process. Once Asklepios is destroyed, Schmoo will be home free- without a healer, Nemesis and Hephaistos will both go down fairly quickly.

On our first attempt, the enemy team was able to trap Schmoo in the corner, completely negating her range advantage! This level of coordination on the part of the enemy team is extremely rare, so I'm honestly more impressed with them than anything. Regardless, it does mean you'll have to skip to 1:18 for the winning attempt here.

according to the tracking on the package that contains the Plus that i have coming in, it should be here soon, so i have paused Mima for now in preparation so that they can potentially meet each other. (i also get to have a Ginjrotchi on a device for longer this way.)

Welcome back to Bot Arena! Today's match is against Sabre, Rapier, and Cutlass of Skirmesh, but before that, we need to go over one of the new additions to the shop.
 

"Aaand just like the weapons they're named for, they all look like they belong in a museum."
"Schmoo! Rude!"

Newly added to the shop is the Porantis R33, a heavy-duty cannon with a low rate of fire and a massive damage output. Its appearance, firing distance, and overall role in combat make it essentially an upgraded version of the Raptor-class weapons we saw way back in the first few matches.
 

"It's... beautiful..."


"I'm going to explode so many things with this gun."
"...Aaaaaand I'm going to triple-check the safety anytime you're not in the arena."
"What, I can't be excited?"
"It's a bit scary when the thing you're excited over is a high-powered cannon that fires ball bearings the size of oranges."

No, seriously, listen to the sound this thing makes when it fires. It's the only weapon in the game to use this sound effect, and it sounds menacing.

As Schmoo mentioned earlier, these robots really aren't that intimidating. Sabre and Rapier can barely scratch Schmoo with their Raptor-class weapons, so the strategy is to focus on eliminating Cutlass first- which is easy, since they have the weakest armor of the trio. I completed this match in my first attempt, so no skipping ahead required here.

- Reedpaw is named Reedeagle as a full mediator. Fishpaw is named Fishfleck as a warrior. The clan cheers
- Scrubheart is surprised how involved Gillgorse wants to be in this, bringing her prey and sitting with her when it seems lonely. She's hoping for a small litter.
- Caakirimist joins the nursery, maybe a tab early, but her stomach hurts. Scrubheart enjoys the company, Gillgorse makes sure to bring extra prey.
- Dovedrift drifts off to sleep one night, and is found stiff in his nest in the morning. Hopefully it was peaceful.
- Arielecho doesn't see Tuftsand that way, and tries to reject the cat in a nice way.
- He whines to Wavestar later that he just misses his mate, she pats him on the head and let's him talk. She knows the feeling.
- Brinestripe, Kelpdrop, and Wavestar place bets on which cat will ask Arielecho out next. Everyone seems to want him, and they're allowed to gossip a little.
- A flood wrecks the camp. Brookmimic, Iceripple, Oceanswipe, and Flecktide are washed away in the currents.
- Wavestar attempts to comfort her deputy, but finds Heronclaw already helping out.
- While trying to find the missing cats bodies, Rayleaf charges Duckdawn and pushes them under a monster. 
- Clanmates see and rush back, howling. Wavestar is horrified, she sends Rayleaf on a solo patrol while figuring out a punishment. Quietly, she hopes he runs away, or brings back prey for the clan.
- He returns not long after, no prey. There's blood on his paws... Wavestar makes up her mind as he talks about the "pathetic loner" he fought and killed.
- Her son, named after her mate Rayshimmer, is banished. Rayleaf seems nonchalant, but vows revenge.
- Rayshimmer deserved a better cat to have his name.
- Waterstripe, Lightrapid, Stormcrash, Driftfuzz, Cavesplash, and Leaklily are shaken by all the death.
- Trout's ghost tells Rayleaf awful things as he sleeps alone

Moon 134
- Life must move on.
- Gillgorse helps Scrubheart through it all, and now they lay purring at their 2 kits. Salmonkit and Sardinekit, a tom and a molly.
- Caakirimist doesn't know how many kits she'll have, but she hopes her birth is as smooth as Scrubheart's.
- Wavestar always loves visiting kits. She notes faintly they're a little small, and asks Gill to make sure Scrubheart gets extra prey. He's happy to do so.
- No wonder the clan whispers about them potentially being mates, but Wavestar tries to get them to not stress the mother and her kits.
- Whalepaw is killed by Carrionplace disease. Sealeyes can hardly process the vigil.
- Pearlbubble and Drinkghost are new warriors.
- Palmpaw is given to Jellyfishheart to mentor
- Brinestripe and Heronclaw announce they've become mates. Some of the clan whispers that Brine moved on too quickly, some congratulate them.
- Brinestripe thanks Marinedapple for introducing them properly, in turn Marinedapple says to treat her brother properly.
-"Your... brother?" 
"Yes Heronclaw is my brother. He needed a mate, you two would be a cute couple, now we're here." 
"Huh???"
- Brinestripe needs to learn clan families
- Frogluarel tries to avoid Dewmoon asking him out.

Moon 135
- Arielecho breaks a bone fighting a fox and whines in the medicine den.
- Sharkdance fades day by day in her nest, until she is found dead. Wavestar just hopes that she felt ready.
- Caakirimist and Mikhailfish welcome three kits. Octopuskit,  Greenkit, and Sushikit. 
- Wavestar doesn't know what Sushi is but ex kittypet clanmates just say it's "fancy fish". Kits are cute even if the name sounds odd.
- Softbubble is expecting kits. 
- Riptidepaw is named Riptideshadow for his stealth
- After moons on the run, Spongeburr is tracked down and killed. He finds himself in the darkrapid, and growls at a kit who asks too many questions. 
- Riverkit has been here so long, she's starting to fall apart. Perhaps this was always unfair, perhaps this is mercy, but Riverkit fonds herself being moved to Starclan. She embraces Breezethistle, her mother, and sobs.
- Everyone tiptoes around Dewmoon after another rejection from Frogluarel
- Rayleaf enjoys being alone, he tells himself. Sure hunting isn't going.... great but he's fine.

Moon 136
- A drought is happening. Wavestar expects the worst.
- Softbubble is moved to the nursery. He hopes for a small litter, and acts childish about being told to sit still.
- Cavesplash retires to the elders den.
- Lobsterbranch leads a loner back to camp unknowingly. She takes the name Oleanderbubble.
- Wavestar has definitely seen her flirting with clanmates before, but the young molly won't meet her eye.
- Lobsterbranch did find her outside of clan territory, Wave makes him spend the week in camp.
- Drinkghost and Fogbuzz are mates!
- The drought takes Fishsun, Pearlyswirl, and Riverheart.
- Pearlyswirl reunites with Moonfluff in Starclan. Sealeyes cries alone in the leaders den for privacy.
- Egretdrop is taken out by a flood on the beach. He's gone before any car can even blink.
- Shellspeckle, Kelpdrop, Crawfishplume, and Jellyfisheyes are shaken by all the death.
- Wavestar trues to comfort her mate, and hopes Rayshimmer brings them relief.

Moon 137 
- Softbubble and Deliwave welcome two kits, Krillkit and Guppykit. They're overjoyed, Brinestripe and Wavestar visit all the cats currently in the nursery with fresh prey.
- Scaleblossom and Fishwhisker retire. Brinestripe is starting to really understand the elders as he watches Wavestar keep pushing herself. He realizes, maybe a bit too late, that Wavestar was very young when she was given her role. This is all she's ever known, and... age is hitting her. He hopes if he ever must take her place he can be half as special.
- Tropicpaw is given to Fogbuzz to mentor, and is bouncing off the walls with excitement.
- A sick senior tom named Creamgrass is brought back by a patrol. Carrionplace disease, the only other time Wavestar heard that was Whalepaw. She doesn't have high hopes.
-Kombuchacreek and Frogcove join the clan. A molly and a tom.

138
- Having lost their adoptive mother Duckdawn to Rainfern's awful ex mate Rayleaf, Rainfern and Lobsterbranch hear whispers their birth father Windhiss has died.
- Lobsterbranch only faintly remembers being called a curse. He looks at his tail nub now and shakes his head, hoping he never sees the other tom in Starclan. Duckdawn never called him a curse, she was a wonderful mother.
- Ripplepaw is named Ripplegaze and celebrated for Loyalty.
- Breezepaw is mentored to  Riptishadow, and Dunepaw is mentored to Flukedawn. He beautiful sons already far too grown, Wavestar thinks. She hopes for the best for them.

Moon 139
- Hunger. Exposure to the elements. Bigger stronger cats, angrier cats. Cuts, bites, scrapes, bruises... Hunger. Rayleaf was not made for life outside a house, and not outside a clan. He was never much of a swimmer, but desperate times and stupid hunger leads to him drowning.
- He finds himself swimming out of the dark rapid, former clanmates snickering and sneering. A youngster in over his ears.
- Wavestar and Kelpdrop hear of the death from loners, they grieve quietly away from the clan.
- Creamgrass passes, and Wavestar thanks the medicine cats for trying.
- Scalechase and Quesowave retire
- Palmpaw is named Palmfang a moon early, Wavestar is amazed by his progress.
- Shorespeckle's rejection of Oddcurrent is public and LOUD. Wavestar winces from her den.
- Teddydrip and Toadslip become mates. 
- Arielecho recovers from a fox attack a few moons back, unfortunately the leg is weaker now. It's fine he tells himself. He gains whitecough 
- Crabdusk loses his tail due to an injury 
- Crawfishplume leads a dog away from camp and passes. Kombuchacreek is overwhelmed by rogues and loses her life.

Moom 140
- Salmonpaw is mentored to Toadslip, and Sardinepaw is mentored to Scrubheart
- It's only a few days later when Sardinepaw decides to switch to a medicine cat apprentice, Rapidfern is happy to have her. She apologizes to her mother, but Scrubheart believes it's a wonderful idea. 
- Wavestar stays with Kelpdrop, bringing him prey in the medicine den. He's been in a lot of pain lately.
- If any cats notice, no one mentions tears in her eyes.
- Shellspeckle is not handling the news that the fox he fought has permanently blinded him in one eye. He tries not to wince looking at the scarring, cats try their best to comfort at least.
- A young molly is brought back to camp who is sick. She takes the name Sofritodrizzle.

Moon 141
- Lilypadswirl is expecting kits!
- Octopuspaw, Greenpaw, and Sushipaw are apprenticed to Turtlescreech, Otterstripe, and Snapdragonfloat.
- Flukedawn really thought Arielecho would give him a chance. Wavestar and Brinestripe have to bring Kelpdrop the biggest birds they can find.
- A patrol finds a cat and her four kits stuck in a two leg contraption in the water. They manage to save the kits, but the mother was protecting them and... was not able to be saved. 
- Wavestar welcomes the kits to the clan. Scalekit, Driftkit, Cuttlekit, and Puddlekit

Moon 142
- Yellowcough takes Gillgorse and Shantyspirit's life.
- Scalepaw to Scrubheart, Driftpaw to Pearlyspot, Cuttlepaw to Mikhailfish (medicine cat), and Puddlepaw to Marinedapple (mediator)
- Marinedapple seems on edge, Brinestripe asks what's wrong. She just says its... nightmares. Asks if Brinestripe will keep Heronclaw away for a moon.
- Fishfleck and Ripplegaze are insufferable as mates, but it's nice to see.
- Sardinepaw doesn't feel like she-cat fits them anymore.

Moon 143
- Floundermallow retires, the passing moons making her slow down.
- Waterrumble switches to a mediator role.
- Tropicpaw is named Tropicfall
- Krillpaw to Frogluarel, Guppypaw to Finquiver
- Cavesplash moves herself into the nursery, announcing she's expecting kits
- Lilypadswirl and Little Ghost Tears welcome 5 kits into the world. Wavestar hopes to starclan they don't stick with Little Ghost Tears naming 
- Walking, Dropletkit, Urchinkit, Tsunamikit, and Carpkit.
- Rainfern passes by yellowcough.
- Lobsterbranch is the last of his litter, and it stings a little.
- Dewmoon has been there for her. Sealeyes and him are happy to be mates.
- Orcafeather and Frogcove become mates.
- Scalepaw doesn't feel like a Tom anymore, they're nonbinary. 
- Lobsterbranch survives a lethal snake bite. Bitterly, he wishes starclan had taken him to his littermates.
- Cloudtail is taken by freezing waves, killing him.
- An Old tom named Ghostreed joins the clan after his twolegs abandon him.

Moon 144
- The moon starts with a murder, Miststreak is found in the morning. The culprit is unknown, but accusations go back and forth.
- Gentleripple passes in her nest
- Wavestar can't get the clan to stop fighting. But.... But... It doesn't matter. Badger attack.
- Nezukodrip, Sealeyes, Coconutshiver, Arielecho, Drizzlesnarl, Tsunamikit, Dropletkit, Pearlbubble, and Rainnewt all due to badgers. The clan is devastated. They move to comforting eachother. But... eyes remain wary as they look at eachother. Someone is still a murderer
- At night Heronclaw visits the burial grounds, tapping his claws on the ground where Miststreak is buried. He snickers.
- Cavesplash, in this grief, hopes for a small litter.
- Deepbumble, Fishbounce, Clamheart, Fishwhisker, and Floatbeetle are shaken by all the death pretty deeply.
- Dropletkit finds herself in the dark rapid. She nods, this is right for her. 
- Dunestripe is welcomed as a new warrior.
- Blueash finds two female kits abandoned, and takes them home. She adopts them and names them Avocetkit and Bubblekit.
- Wavestar is tired, but happy to see new kits.
- A kittypet named Molly Murder Mittens joins clan. She has yellowcough. She shoves current on the end of her name.
- Palmfang and Ripplegaze take a risk in the twoleg area, and Palmfang is lost.

So we start with the leaders son committing murder in front of people and ends with the deputy's mate committing murder in secret. I do not know what I'm gonna do with this. I like Brinestripe, I really need to think about if Wavestar will keep him if it gets out that his mate was a murderer.

picked up my package today. my supply of small batteries was looking pretty corroded, so i can't try running these two just yet, but they're really gorgeous shells. i ordered some new batteries, so hopefully they're in working order for when those come in (which is unconfirmed, but the Osutchi at least seems to be in good enough shape that it's worth a shot, lol)
 

the Plus was unopened, so it's in immaculate condition, and even started working when the tab was pulled, though i did replace the battery anyway, since it's been sitting in there for 20+ years and i wasn't sure about it.
 

here's Momo. i remember the Plus sounds having a higher pitch than the western releases from the Entama i had when i was a kid. i do need to get used to the discipline icon not selecting for Praise by default, because i accidentally messed up a praise call, whoops. (i have fixed this by getting a perfect score in the dance game)

- Stripedrown's leg has healed but they likely will have permanent damage 
- Two elder kittypets join the clan. Eda is 220 moons with a broken back and Slumberember is 230 with carrionplace disease. Wavestar let's them stay to heal but doesn't make them take clan names, assuming they won't make it. 
- Brinestripe seems to think they still should, but Wavestar only says "if they survive"
- Lakebeak brings back a thin older tom name Swanwatcher
- Finquiver and Jellyfisheyes bring back a small tortie kit. Her soft gray and orange pelt remind Wavestar so much of Breezethistle... It's only a few day later that she decides to adopt the kit with her mate Kelpdrop. She takes the name Swampkit

Moon 146
- Lightning strikes the camp and kills Urchinkit. The other kits all scatter and hide, it takes almost a full day to find them. 
- No one is quite sure what to say to Lilypadswirl or Little Ghost Tears. From 5 kits to 2 and they're not even appreciated yet.
- Swanwatcher is ambushed and left for dead. Wavestar wishes she had more to say
- Orcafeather and Frogcove break up for a week and get back together. They seem happy at least
- Shorespeckle's rejection of Jellyfisheyes is.... public. Very public.
- Neuroscientistfern finds an abandoned litter and adopts them. Cattailkit and Baykit.
- Octopuspaw has a growing infection in their broken bone and has fallen heavily behind in training.
- Wavestar visits Kelpdrop regularly in the elders den, and stays by his side as he sleeps. She talks quietly with a friend, Clamheart, and he says nothing but good things about the pair.
- Wavestar is happy to have a friendly clan. Kelpdrop teases Clamheart about his crush on the leader.
- Sushipaw breaks her jaw in a cave in by she's pulled to safety
- Brinestripe has become good friends with Marinedapple and sees him regularly. He catches the tail end of a nasty fight with Heronclaw.
- Neither cat will talk about it. Wavestar says to let the brothers fight

Moon 147
- Greenpaw becomes Greensmoke, Scalepaw becomes Scaleripple.
- Avocetpaw is apprenticed to Foamswirl, Bubblepaw is apprenticed to Drinkghost
- Orcafeather apologizes to her mate for being harsh lately, and happily tells Frogcove they're expecting kits.
- Carrionplace disease kills Slumberember. Wavestar thanks the medicine cats for trying, and wonders why they can't seem to stop this one illness.
- She doesn't blame them. The medicine cats try their best, she knows that. But she doesn't like not being able to keep her clan safe.
- Oddcurrent and Shorespeckle are seen giggling and sneaking around camp. Do they think people don't know they're mates?
- Gooseegg tries romancing Ottercrash, but the other cats face at the idea of a mate says a lot
- Heronclaw and Marinedapple aren't even allowed to grab prey at the same time, their fights give Wavestar a headache.
- Clamheart offers ways to help while Kelpdrop is too tired to talk.
- Vanillanut and Tropicfall bring back a bright orange tom kit named Marshkit, the clan helping nurse him back from the brink of death
- Frozenghost meets a kittypet with a dog, and takes him back to camp. He takes the name Orchiddew
- Brinestripe and Heronclaw have a small fight about Marinedapple. 
- Brinestripe trues talking to Marinedapple, offering help. Marinedapple smiles and says cryptically "I won't see it, but you would be a kind leader"
- Brinestripe thinks the compliment should make him happy. He just worries about his friend.

Moon 148
- Wavestar is a bit sad when Clamheart isn't in the elders den when she visits, Kelpdrop saying he was getting looked at by the medcats
- Kelpdrop says that when he goes, he hopes Wavestar takes another mate. Wavestar doesn't sleep well this moon.
- Driftsnout is made a warrior, Puddleleopard is a new mediator
- Marinedapple joins some medcats on a patrol for herbs, and asks them about his dreams. The cats won't meet his eyes, and he takes it as bad news.
- Stormhusk is expecting kits.
- Orcafeather thinks she'll have a small litter.
- Swampkit can sneeze so hard she falls over. The medicine cats say it's allergies, Wavestar and Kelpdrop just hope this isn't bad news for their kit.
- Squidshell and Ripplegaze fight off three rogues without any injuries
- Wavestar meets a loner named Bone at an abandoned kittypet den and listens to her sing.

Moon 149
- Krillfade and Guppysong are new warriors
- Wailpaw is apprenticed to Oysterdazzle, Carppaw to Ottercrash.
- Orcafeather and Frogcove welcome 2 kits, Sandkit and Ospreykit.
- Stormhusk watches them and wonders how many she will have
- Salvageflood and Coral become mates
- Marshcove's rejection of Little Ghost Tears is public.
- Mikhailfish is trying his best to heal Sushipaw's broken jaw, but infection is setting in.
- A training patrol finds Siltbeam, a senior molly who joins the clan.
- Marinedapple tries to apologize to Heronclaw and makes it worse.
- He cries softly in his nest, alone. Brinestripe bring him a mouse and listens to his worries.
- Brinestripe and Wavestar both hope he's wrong. They both hope Starclan has not been telling Marinedapple in his dreams he's going to pass.

Moon 150
- Marinedapple wakes up late at night to rustling. He thinks he sees a cat at the fresh kill pile, and approaches drowsily. It's not a cat. It's not a cat, starclan had warned him.
- The clan awakes to an empty nest and missing prey. They find his body outside a fox den.
- Brinestripe takes Marinedapple's death hard, much to Heronclaw's annoyance. Wavestar comforts him.
- She comforts him for a few days... Kelpdrop goes on a walk alone. He's found later with a peaceful expression on his face.
- Wavestar takes this hard. Breezeice, their son, lays with her in her nest as she cries.
- Kelpdrop and Rayshimmer reunite in Starclan.
- Duckbramble is expecting kits. Stress seems to be getting to her, she snaps at the idea of going to the medicine den already. She isn't going to break, you'll have to drag her in by her scruff.
- Stormhusk and Foamswirl welcome 4 kits. Anemonekit, Brackenkit, Sealkit, and Saltkit. Wavestar visits briefly but she can't stop crying.
- Agnescurrent retires
- Sardineblur and Cuttlescar are now full medicine cats.
- Swamppaw is apprenticed to Lobsterbranch, Cattailpaw to Otterstripe, and Baypaw to Krillfade.
- Sushipaw doesn't feel like they're a tom.
- Bassdust is fully deaf now. No one is really sure mediator is... a good idea anymore but... you can't really stop him.
- Driftsnout is lost in a flood.

- Clamheart has been a great comfort to Wavestar this moon, she appreciates having a friend. He fidgets hearing this.
- He admits towards the end of the moon he's had a crush on Wavestar for a long time. He doesn't want to pressure her but... maybe he'd have a chance.
- Wavestar and Clamheart surprise the clan by becoming mates. Not too surprised but... surprised.

Moon 151
- Duckbramble wants a lot of kits. Stormhusk doesn't get it really.
- Eda can't survive his broken back. Wavestar just tells Mikhailfish she's not surprised but apprenticed the effort 
- A lot of the clan is shaken by all the recent death. It's quieter around the camp.
- Lakebeak joins the elders.
- Lakepaw is apprenticed to Frogluarel, Torrentpaw to Little Ghost Tears, and Marshpaw to Jellyfishheart 
- Two cats join the clan, Toadfreckle and Splishfur. Toadfreckle is suffering from Carrionplace disease, Wavestar expects the worst.

Moon 152
- Duckbramble and Agnescurrent's eyes meet over their 3 kits. Conekit, Codkit, and Floodkit.
- Flamingosnarl is suddenly struck by chest pain, and later found dead.
- Avocetdrip and Bubbleback are made new warriors. Brinestripe leads this meeting for Wavestar, who compliments him later.
- Airripple can hardly believe the clan looked for her. But she's home now! She's home now.
- Jellyfishheart finds a rogue who wishes to join the clan. He keeps his old name but adds a suffix, becoming Whispermoon.
- Toadfreckle steps out of the medicine den and goes to meet the clan. Wavestar can hardly believe it. Carrionplace disease! Survived. Mikhailfish must be so proud.
- Guppysong, Bubblingberry, and Salvageflood protect three apprentices from a vicious dog. Guppysong finds himself among the stars... alone at least. He hopes the clan knows he was brave. 
- Brinestripe goes on a patrol alone to look for the dog. He's gon for hours... Wavestar goes looking. Search parties, cats alone, anything. A wandering kittypet flinches as the clan cats alone, commenting lowly that he's certain the two legs got him.
- Wavestar can't seem to process this. She looks to Starclan, begs them to send him home. Begs Crabgrass to lead Brinestripe home, like he was lead home.

Moon 153
- Deliwave becomes the deputy. He's... fine. Weak leg. Wavestar and him don't... it's not like they don't get along, but they don't know eachother well. 
- 108 moons, Brinestripe is only 76. He'd have longer before retiring. He's still Wavestar's preferred choice.
- She's sending patrols just to look for him. Deliwave doesn't think he should take this role seriously considering that 
- Ripplegaze is expecting kits!
- After falling behind due to sickness, Octopusfreckle and Sushimouse are made new warriors.
- Neuroscientistfern is rejected by Ottercrash
- Jellyfishheart breaks their jaw when a training patrol gets ambushed.
- Salmonspeck is lost on a single patrol when twolegs grab them.

Moon 154
- Ripplegaze wants a big litter!
- Neuroscientistfern should probably stop trying to ask out Ottercrash
- Frogcove chases down a limping Scalechase to teach him some exercises to help with joint strength.
- Wavestar fights a kittypet that's been a thorn in her side for moons, Malik, after attempting to save the cat from a dog. The kittypets dog attacked her first! How dare she challenge Wavestar. The kittypet and dog run off with their tails between their legs, Wavestar is dazed but victorious.
- No sign of Brinestripe unfortunately.

Moon 155
- Heronclaw sadly gives up on his mate. Wavestar tries to make him reconsider, but Heronclaw is sure he's single now.
- Scaleblossom dies from water in his lungs, Duckbramble is bitten by a venomous spider, Greenflood fades day by day, and Siltbeam dies from a claw wound.
- Scaleblossom's death shocks Wavestar. Her brother... She only has one sibling left. Breezethistle's kits all... with her. Fishwhisker and her feel very alone.
- Fishfleck and Ripplegaze welcome a single kit, Pebblekit.
- So much death has left many clanmates shocked. Wavestar and Deliwave are almost useless this moon.
- Wavestar and Deliwave try to go to mediators to learn to get along but end up liking eachother less. 
- Carpshine and Swampnoise are made new warriors.
- Sandpaw is apprenticed to Foamswirl and Ospreypaw to Fishfleck.
- Toadfreckle retires
- An injured kittypet named Swanswirl joins the clan.
- Penguinflame dies in a cave in

Moon 156
- Wavestar finds him one night, late, heading home. She hardly believes it until he starts yelling, and she leaps over borders to meet him. Brinestripe is home!
- He smells funny, he looks thin, and he's exhausted, but he's home.
- She thanks Deliwave for his help in the morning, and gives Brinestripe back his position. Deliwave is okay with this, he didn't like being the leaders assistant anyway.
- Wavestar has to sadly inform Brinestripe of all the death including...
- Egret is found stiff in her nest, Scalerippmr falls from the top of a tree, and Baypaw dies to yellowcough 
- Death is hitting the clan hard. Shock effects more cats.
- Sunbracken retires
- Lakepaw is named Lakestripe, Cattailpaw is Cattailheart.
- Anemonepaw is given to Frozenghost to apprentice under, Brackenpaw to Finswirl, Sealpaw to Floatbeetle, and Saltpaw to Whispermoon
- Heronclaw and Brinestripe become mates again to no one's surprise
- Swanswirl meets up with a cat from Wormclan and hopes no one knows. 
- Wavestar is hopeful for the next moons, and purrs with her mate Clamheart by her side, watching Brinestripe talk to clanmates he's missed.

And Marinedapple ahhhh. I was trying to get him and Heronclaw to fight, was not expecting a fox death. I liked him. 

And no Deliwave didn't do anything wrong but like... I can't have a Delistar. And if I switched the name it'd be Wavestar 2. No.

- Quesowave doesn't know what he did to be murdered by an apprentice. But Brackenpaw walks away without anyone knowing anything.
- Torrentpaw is named Torrentdrip, Cavesplash is so happy for her kit.
- Salmonspeck is found and brought back to camp. Brinestripe chatters excitedly to Wavestar about some other things he heard from kittypets, and she let's him make more rescue plans.
- Brackenpaw goes missing for a few days. Wavestar and Brinestripe talk to him personally. He says the death of Quesowave just effected him, he needed to get out of his head.
- Wavestar doesn't seem to believe this fully. She tells him he's to stay in camp the rest of this moon.
- Greensmoke is hit by a monster while crossing the road

Moon 158
- Caakirimist and Mikhailfish stare at the daughters body during the vigil, Mikhailfish knowing the ache in her stomach isn't just from grief.
- Mikhailfish tells Wavestar he's expecting kits, the leader leans against the medicine cat as he cries. To lose a kit in such a happy moment...
- Coral joins the elders
- Wailspike and Marshshine are made full warriors.
- Conepaw apprenticed to Shorespeckle, Codpaw to Dewmoon, Floodpaw to Moistbreak
- Drinkghost doesn't feel like they're a tom anymore, and they're happy with that.
- Tropicfall and Octopusfreckle have a fight in the mediators den. Bassdust doesn't know how to feel when it ends with them cuddling in his nest.
- Turtlescreech and Teddydrip can't save Scrubheart from the sinkhole

- Mikhailfish is hoping for a big litter! You'd think as head medicine cat she'd be sure of this but it always feels like a surprise.
- Waterstripe and Shorespeckle are expecting kits! No nursery yet.
- Airripple fades day by day. Wavestar is just happy he got home before passing.
- Brinestripe manages to lead Palmfang home, Wavestar is so proud of him and her clan.
- Palm is a little bruised but nothing bad.
- Finquiver is gonna be nursing rejection from Pearlyspots for a while
- Little Ghost Tears and Marshcove become mates, so do Vanillanut and Dewmoon
- Torrentdrip doesn't feel like tom really suits them
- Softbubble heals from a snake bite despite it being pretty poisonous. He then manages to get bit by a snake again and still survives. The medicine cats are confused. He feels unkillable.
- A flood catches a training patrol and Sandpaw is unfortunately swept away in the currents. 
- Soakstripe breaks his jaw being hit by a monster, but he's alive
- Two new cats join the clan, Glowfish and The Doctorgrass 
- The Doctorgrass refuses to change his name, but he brought a lot of catmint.
- "16 moon olds these days dont know when to put down the catmint" Wavestar says to no one in particular.
- Breezethistle can't tell them what Wave was like at 16 moons.

Moon 160
- Waterstripe is hoping for a big litter, Shorespeckle wants a small one. They both end up dragged into the nursery by Mikhailfish, and no one want to argue with him so close to kitting.
- He's honestly relieved when it's only 2 kits. Wanting more and having more are separate things. Moonkit and Eelkit, a Molly and a Tom
- Crabdusk is taking a peaceful stroll outside of camp and is killed by a fox. Wavestar hates to hold a vigil only a day after happily announcing the kits.
- Wavestar and Brinestripe hear from loners and kittypets about an older cat they might know. Lake. They meet her one day, and Wavestar can hardly hold back her shock. Lakekit, 75 moons old, is finally back in the clan. She's adventurous and a great fighter.
- She goes home with them, everything feels foreign. Only a few days old when taken by two legs, she hardly feels like she belongs. But she takes the name Lakewhisker, and meets the rest of the clan.
- It feels... nice. To feel wanted. To feel loved.
- Deliwave retired to the elders den. He snickers when Wavestar refers to him as a former deputy, it hardly feels right.
- Ospreypaw is name Ospreysun, Saltpaw is named Saltchasm
- Finquiver learns nothing and is rejected by Pearlyspots again.
- Splashkite, a kittypet who acts more like a dog than a house cat, joins the clan. Oddcurrent brings her home after fighting her dog friend.
- Oddcurrent catches a particularly nasty case of fleas. Splashkite is almost certain it's from the dogs.

Moon 161
- Splishfur dies fighting a dog
- Waterstripe and Moistbreak welcome two kits, Cloudkit and Rainkit. Shorespeckle and Oddcurrent welcome a singlekit and name her Wetkit. All Molly's.
- Ghostreed joins the elders.
- Anemoneleaf and Brackenmask are made warriors.
- Pebblepaw is apprenticed to Reedeagle
- Brackenmask stares at his paws that night, remembering them covered in a clan mates blood. The clan doesn't know, they don't know what he's done. But Starclan does. 
- Pearlyspot is really getting tired of Finquiver and debates biting her daily.
- Instead, Pearlyspot confesses to Riptishadow. He's delighted to have Riptide as a mate.
- Despite some bumps, Tropicfall and Octopusfreckle become mates.
- Theres a flea outbreak the clan has never seen. Wavestar is genuinely overwhelmed.
- Fleas: Oddcurrent, Sunbracken, Finswirl, Caakirimist, Brackenmask, Fishfleck, Coral, Jellyfishheart, Snapdragonfloat, Sealpaw, Oleanderbubble, and Stripedrown.
- Gooseegg has to tell Shorespeckle and Oddcurrent Wetkit isn't ignoring them, she's deaf. 
- Glowfish is free from fleas, maybe he brought them in.
- Algaepaw from Twigclan joins.
- Floodmallow, an injured kittypet joins.
- While scratching some fleas, Fishbounce breaks what he thought was raspberries in his mouth. He barely makes it to camp before collapsing from the death berries poison 

Moon 162
- Drinkghost is expecting kits and doesn't want to fool around, they move into the nursery.
- Sealpaw is named Sealshade, and Algaepaw is named Algaepatch.
- Dewmoon and Vanillanut have a huge fight and break up.
- A loner approaches shyly one and asks to join the clan, she takes the name Heartsplash
- Flea counts rise: Marshshine, Little Ghost Tears, Algaepatch, Swanswirl, Pearlyspot, Wailspike, Ghostreed, Bubbleback, Tinygull, Agathacreek, Anemoneleaf, Frozenghost, Sushimouse, Clamheart, Octopusfreckle, Lakestripe, Eelkit, Splashkite, Agnescurrent, Shellspeckle, Floatbeetle, Lobsterbranch, Bubblingberry, Soakstripe, Saltchasm, Glowfish, Driftfuzz, Lilypadswirl, Hadarrain, Toadslip, Moistbreak, Grousegull, Stripedrown, Jellyfisheyes, Deliwave, Moonkit, Floodpaw, Oddcurrent (Who just got rid of them!), Tuftsand, Salmonspeck, Scalechase, Flukedawn, Cloudkit, and Jellyfishheart.
- The rest of the moon is uneventful. Maybe the warriors are slacking from so much scratching.

Moon 163
- Honestly, Brinestripe thought it would be something glorious. A battle with a rogue, a war with the overclans, taking down a two leg, or a betrayal by a clan mate. A fox or a badger attack. Something to show she fought to the end.
- Wavestar thought it might be peaceful. In her sleep, surrounded by the clans soft purrs. Maybe a sickness, something her body can't handle. A warning to take your body seriously. 
- But instead, it's a sinkhole that swallows her whole. It takes all her remaining lives, and she finds herself reunited with her mother. 
- Rayshimmer and Kelpdrop greet her with tears, and she knows she'll visit Clamheart in his dreams.
- Brinestripe travels to get his nine lives, tears stinging his eyes.
- Pool, his mother, a life for confidence. Iceripple, his ex mate, a life for sympathy. Marinedapple, his best friend, a life for acceptance. Abalonelilac, a life for clear judgment. Sealeyes, a life for endurance. Kelpdrop, a dear friend, a life for empathy. Cloudtail, a life for certainty. Duckbramble, a life for instincts. And Wavestar, who believed in him even in the worst of times, who became a mentor and close friend, who searched for him tirelessly for moons, gives him a life with the strength to overcome his fears.
- He returns to clan feeling stronger than ever, the cats cheer for Brinestar. He names Floatbeetle deputy. She's honored, even though they're not particularly friendly.
- He sits with Clamheart one night, letting the older cat sob about missing his mate while he holds back tears of his own.
- Oysterdazzle and Frozenghost become mates.
- Brinestar tosses a snake out of camp before it can bite anyone.
- Torrentdrip and Swampnoise become mates. Brinestar congratulates the former leaders last kit, knowing she'd be happy for him.
- Jellyfishheart reject Marshshine. 
- It's a fairly quiet moon, all things considered. Brinestripe... Brinestar is okay with this. It's going to take some getting used to. Clanmates mourn their leader. While life must move on, he hardly thinks he'll be able to fill her paw steps. 
- Heronclaw has still not been caught for murder, and now his mate is leader! He's honestly maybe too happy this moon, but Brinestar hardly notices.

Moon 164
- Caakirimist passes in her sleep, Mikhailfish is overwhelmed with grief.
- Fogbuzz is completely surprised by Drinkghost having Five Kits. Loachkit it the only molly, Guppykit, Bettakit, Halibutkit, and Crabkit are the toms.
- Octopusfreckle announces she's expecting kits. She is irate at the idea of going to the nursery already, insisting she's not that delicate.
- Floodstripe is welcomed as a warrior.
- Mikhailfish doesn't know why Turtlescreech thought asking to be mates was appropriate while he was freshly grieving
- Wavestar visits cats in their dreams without saying much. Brinestar is trying, and she wants to support him.
- She visits Dunestripe and Waterstripe, happy to visit two of her sons.
- Dewmoon is captured by twolegs.
- The fleas are leaving.

Moon 165
- Turtlescreech and Salvageflood join the elders
- Conehoney and Codglare are made a warriors
- Turtlescreech and Mudmane are killed by a gang of rogues
- Softbubble is expecting kits and moves into the nursery immediately, hoping to speed the litter along.
- Hadarrain dies from a sharp pain in his chest 
- Octopusfreckle moves into the nursery. She hopes it's a small litter.
- Cuttlescar isn't paying attention and ends up washed out to sea.
- Basspool, Driftfuzz, Foamswirl, and Shorespeckle are shaken with grief.
- Dewmoon is brought back to camp safely
- The fleas are gone! 
- Sealshade is captured by humans while hunting

Moon 166
- Pebblepaw finishes mediator training and is named Pebbledapple
- Moonpaw is more interested in the clans well being and myths and stories. Rapidfern takes her on as a medicine cat apprentice.
- Eelpaw is apprenticed to Palmfang
- Floundermallow is killed by yellowcough
- Softbubble wants a small litter, he's certain of that while looking at Octopusfreckle and Tropicfall with their 2 kits.
- Octopusfreckle and Tropicfall look at their two molly kits, and name them Mistkit and Swankit.
- Frogcove falls into a snow bank on a particularly cold day, during a patrol. The cold seeps into his bones long before the clan can dig him out.

Moon 167
- New apprentices! Cloudpaw to Oleanderbubble, Rainpaw to Finquiver, and Wetpaw to Flukedawn.
- Softbubble and Deliwave welcome 2 kits, Lotuskit and Dewkit
- Teddydrip announces he's expecting kits, and honestly seems annoyed about it.
- Salmonspeck dies of Yellowcough
- The clan has been looking for Maggie to chase her off the territory. Clamheart takes the risk to warn her, the cat hardly taking him seriously.
- He gets a thorn stuck in his paw on the way back and seems particularly annoyed as of late.
- Brinestar seems unsettled. He learned from Wavestar long ago that a fairly quiet moon means bad is coming. He thinks it's been too quiet.
- Heronclaw doesn't get it, and they argue about it for days on end. They're still mates but Brinestar feels angry at the start of this moon.

Moon 168
- Bubblingberry and Swanswirl retire
- Squidshell dies of yellowcough
- Coral is expecting kits
- And then the floods hit
- Two Floods, one takes out Ripplegaze, Dunestripe, Saltchasm, and Deliwave. A second takes out Neuroscientistfern, Splashskitter, and Ghostreed.
- It's a lot of cats to suddenly lose, Brinestar is left with a grieving and angry clan. 
- Charisma is not getting him out of this, but he's trying so hard
- Molly Murder Mittenscurrent has to have her tail cut off due to infection. She sobs into her nest, but gets up to go hunting anyway.
- Floatbeetle and Brinestar are working harding to keep the clan afloat, fixing dens, catching prey 
- Splashkite returns soaking wet, yowling a warning to the clan of an incoming flood. Codglare was with him. The water rushes through, but they stayed dry. Codglare was with Splashkite. Where is Codglare Splashkite?
- Brinestar counts clan mates. Codglare was taken in the flood, Splashkite sobs apologies he doesn't need to give. The clan comforts, They still short someone.
- "Where is Floatbeetle?"
- "He was patrolling alone Brinestar."
- They have to find the bodies. He has to know if he needs a new deputy.

my batteries have arrived, and after some tinkering, both the Osutchi and Mesutchi were ready to play with. you might notice in some pictures that the Osutchi's screen is a little faded, this is actually an improvement after surgery to dust off the insides because the screen wasn't appearing at all when he first arrived. you can see a video of them hatching here.
 

both hatched into Kakutchi, the standard first generation baby for these devices. gameplay is mostly pretty standard retro device fare, but the game is particularly easy to dual-wield.
 

both evolved into Mohitamatchi without issue.

i figured it was time to finally unpause Mima, and after a bit of trouble, i got them to connect. Mima came over (as Nazotchi, since Ginjirotchi isn't in the original Plus roster), and gave some presents to Momo.
 

Momo seemed pleased with the variety of gifts.
 

Momo also gave some cake to Mima.
 

they also played some games. Momo usually won, except on this one.
