Welcome to the Neighborhood Boards…each thread is a pocket dimension where different types of critter can spawn and make their homes- while there are trends as to what type of critter shows up where, you can let your critter have a spawning point and home wherever you like!
Unlike other areas, you don’t make a thread for an individual location (for example, a house), you just use the main Neighborhood thread for whatever interactions happen there. This does mean that there is the chance for multiple interactions to be going on at once more often than the other hubs, but we want to avoid having a surplus of empty/dead threads- this makes interaction more likely and encouraged!
Feel free to prompt in any of these threads as you would one of the other main threads, just be respectful of other people and what they’re up to as well.
[Still looking to describe your critter’s home in an easy to find way? Try using the character hoarding piles! Customizing your critter’s post(s) with descriptions and graphics is a cute way to have an easily-referenced guide without a thread being needed.]

-If not participating in our book exchange, please bring books back after two weeks maximum. While we do not have fees, we will send stern letters full of guilt-inducing language to your house, and no one wants that.
-If looking for something specific, please ask Cal, the librarian.

Welcome to the Nexus Marketplace! Here you can set up little businesses, services, and establishments for your critters to run. If you have something that could require bartering, trading, or using forum cash (referred to as “guild tickets” in-universe, and canonically earned as a sort of community reward for helping everybody else), here’s the place for you to set up shop. You can also just get freeform with it and do whatever you like, so have fun!
To set up a marketplace thread, make sure to add these to your opening post:
-a description of the establishment for IC context
-what services are available
-any applicable prices/trade offers at the moment
-anything else of note!
In-universe, most of the business done at the Nexus is through trade and bartering, whether that’s for goods and services. If your critter(s) offer custom services, they can ask for guild tickets (aka forum cash, OOC), but it’s generally discouraged unless you are providing something special that would require effort both on the player and critter’s side of things. For example: a farmer may trade for home-grown apples, but if a critter wanted a special apple pie for their birthday (especially if a nice description or graphic is added for the receiving player to collect and enjoy….), they could charge forum cash for it. Use this as a way to make forum cash via creativity!
When making a marketplace deal of any kind- you have to roleplay it out! This can be simple and quick or involve detailed conversations, it’s all up to you. Think of it as your critter getting visited by customers- perhaps they just want to talk, even. Just make sure to keep your main post updated with the actual things customers can prompt for, so that any new announcements don’t get lost!

WELCOME TO THE NEXUS BULLETIN BOARD!
Here you may post a listing for something you need done by members of our community- this can be anything!
Here’s how it works: 1) Post your thread with the following info:
-a description of the task at hand and what the end goal for completion is- this can be as complicated or as easy as you like, but keep in mind- you don’t get forum cash until it’s completed! it may be better for you to start out with simpler tasks and work your way up once you and your peers have established characters and dynamics to play off each other and get things done.
-whether this task will be guided (either DM-style or in character, feel free to get weird with it) or freeform
-character signup information. You can sign up a maximum of two characters per user for a listing, unless the listing requires only two characters- at which point you can only sign up one for the sake of variety. You can request players provide other character info upon signing on, but at minimum, your listing response should include character name and image.
-anything recommended for the task- this can be types of characters, items/tools, and/or any content warnings necessary for the task itself.
2) Wait for characters to sign up. You don’t need all of the slots to be filled to start a task, but you should at least have one other player to work with! While you’re accepting applicants, please mark your thread as [OPEN].
3) Start the task as a roleplay in the same thread. This goes until your goal is completed, which is up to your discretion! Please make sure to mark your thread as [IN PROGRESS].
4) Once you complete a roleplay, go to the redemption thread here and report it as complete. Every participant will receive 10 cash for every page of roleplay done!
5) Make sure to mark your thread as [COMPLETE] when done! That’s all you need to do tasks! Enjoy!

It wants to be the most infamous villain of all time. However, harmless and mostly harmless antics mixed with dramaticism and deeds which aren't that evil don't exactly sell it. Don't tell them that though.
