[DIGITAL_HORROR]: especially since it's looking more and more likely that at the very least, the friends that we have in our months-old games seem more and more like people
[DIGITAL_HORROR]: early on in development i was all "hehehe im gonna make special colors for friends that i can give out as forum game prizes and trades and etc!"
[DIGITAL_HORROR]: i haven't done it in a bit because of...realizations that these are probably more than just code
[DIGITAL_HORROR]: the customized friends are basically in like, cryosleep right now, and they never got talked to so they don't really have anything going on in their heads
[DIGITAL_HORROR]: but reading up on construct laws...one of the biggest things is that you aren't supposed to make constructs for any other purpose than making life itself.
[DIGITAL_HORROR]: which, yeah, friendzoo works with that
[DIGITAL_HORROR]: but...i don't think it'd be right to give these guys out as "prizes" anymore.
[DIGITAL_HORROR]: i also want to give access to people to the utilities we have for making and editing models so that people can get creative with stuff, but...
[DIGITAL_HORROR]: what...are the ethics there?
[DIGITAL_HORROR]: i have some solutions in mind, but i was curious as to what everybody else thinks first.

[CRUCIAL_ESCAPE] Oh. Figure I'd post a lil update. Pally and me're getting along great, though I confess I get bored easy. I imagine that'll be less of a problem when we get more assets in the game. I don't mind it so much, but I worry Pally'll get restless without more things to do. So far it seems pretty entertained by knockin things outta the carry case though.
