The fur of Gremlins are not wispy, it is the Gremlins themselves who seem wispy, however highlights from damage are very possible, and are likely common among Gremlins considering their environment
Gremlins have no means of reproduction other than falling asleep in a group, and as such, cannot make any 'true' hybrids. The morphs do however, sometimes take on special or magical abilities or traits inherent to the mimiced species (i.e. ruffneck smoke) and as such it is more than just visual similarities
