hi we've done this on discord before but i'm moving it to the forums. sometimes we want to make TCP designs but don't know what to make, now is your chance to get a unique, custom drawn TCP, completely free of charge! simply place a TCP prompt in this thread and when we get around to it, we will pick one via random selection to draw. once it's drawn, it's yours. once a TCP has been drawn, you can enter again with whatever prompt, even if it's the same.

we are only taking types/modifiers/conditions currently canon to the TCPdex but if you're new or overwhelmed by wiki sifting, you can also use the perchance generator here to give you some ideas. you can also tack on an additional theme or image/moodboard if you like.

ok here is where we will talk about Our Guys. we can say whatever we want here about The Guys and you can also comment/ask questions/share thoughts back. think of it as a miscellaneous stream of consciousness about characters and how we're developing them at the moment.

there's over 500 characters in our roster which is very insane but we'll try to only focus on a few per ramble session/period of checking these, mainly based on who we're focusing on. there may be story spoilers in here, so as not to limit ourselves to "canon" information- but anything particularly noteworthily spoiler-y or graphic will be put in a lil spoiler box. this is an mature thread to cover our bases, and will contain mentions of kink stuff/sexuality sprinkled in. they'll probably be spoilered though.

...i have no idea if this is the correct place for what i'm dealing with, but it's worth a shot.
if you've seen me around the forums, you know that i am a scrap diviner that travels a lot. this means that i work on a laptop a lot of the time, on various hotel and motel internet connections. apparently, the one i was staying at recently had...problems, because there appears to be a creature roaming my desktop and getting into trouble. it's already eaten some of my work files and i've only been able to identify it as a "gravebeak", which seems to be linked to this game, friendzoo.

should i download the client to try and communicate with this creature? trying to type into note documents just makes it erase my text and shuffle the letters around. as far as i know, this behavior isn't even normal for the game's usual...and i really can't have this thing keep messing up my work!

[INK_AND_PLUSH]: I (Creature ×2, They/It/Purr) and my best friend/roommate (Creature/food, She/Her)(I will refer to her as Ko) can't seem to agree on this. It hasn't caused any… huge issues, but she's been upset with me lately and I think she's overreacting a bit.
[INK_AND_PLUSH]: Whenever I or anyone gets hurt, she's very willing to heal us. You know, food type and all, and she really hate anyone suffering.
[INK_AND_PLUSH]: I know it's "fun tcp biology" but I have a problem with it being a friend. I'd rather just… either let it heal itself or eat something I bought.
[INK_AND_PLUSH]: Realistically I know what you get in stores also comes from food types, but that small bit of separation is all I need.
[INK_AND_PLUSH]: Now, if I was doing something… reckless and was dangerously injured, I'd of course let Ko heal me and be grateful. But my problems come from her reaction when I get a small injury, like a paper cut.
[INK_AND_PLUSH]: Yes my paw hurts, no I really don't want your tail please. Yes I'd rather have the jerky pieces.
[INK_AND_PLUSH]: I don't feel like that's a big deal! She's upset because I've been helping a different friend with their show's props lately so I've had an increase in like… hot glue related incidents. But nothing serious!
[INK_AND_PLUSH]: I'm also not a huge fan of the food she is. Minor problem but I don't know. 

[INK_AND_PLUSH]: TLDR: I'd rather buy food type pieces to heal minor injuries than have my friend heal me every time I get a paper vet. Am I the asshole?

we have caught the petz design adaptation bug...and we require more designs to fuel this. in this thread you can make a mini design for us to put in petz and get a heaping pile of forum cash for it- enough to be used towards big rewards!

to start, pick one of these bases and edit away, preferably with the theme options and guidelines we have down below. we're pretty confident in our ability to hex a lot of things, so any kind of animal is fine, along with heavy edits to the base (within reason, simple shapes are always best for us)! wings, tails, weird heads, floating bits/halos, are all really welcome.

you can only submit one of these per month.



customizing one of these things will net you a hefty 500 forum cash. as with all forum cash, you can redeem it for quests/games that use it, roleplay purposes, or even select commissions/adopt batches. think of it like a mini art trade, i guess? 500 cash should get you two rolls on any of our active adopt gachas, at least!

fulfilling the month's bonus theme will get you an extra 250 forum cash. how you interpret the theme is up to you!

designs will have to be approved before the forum cash is sent- we won't suggest huge edits unless it's interfering with the viability of making the design, so play around and have fun. these creatures may also show up as for-fun characters in our petz worldbuild (not likely to be a quest, separate from phantom network/supercyber/friendzoo), so you may see them again in silly graphics/doodles!

rules to follow

- no ring-like markings if you can help it
- anything that can be displayed with a seamless texture is an inherently easier marking to work with than an exact + specific pattern (marbling, tiger stripes, spots, shapes, repeating patterns, etc, all of these are good and honestly really enjoyable)
- if specific markings like distinct patches, make em big, round and chunky, and preferably not on the front legs please god
- any face/head design is fine we're really good at faces by now. stylized faces are especially fun
- quadruped or we'll cry
- purples are viable but they may come out weird, same for greens. execute at your own risk.
- a simple but clear/well executed concept is always better than a super complex one

- horror (remember to spoiler if one's particularly spooky. also includes goofy cartoony stuff a la party stores and halloween)

- referential (feel free to ask what instances of media would qualify under this if you aren't super versed in our interests- we're interested in both stuff referencing our works and the games/movies/etc we enjoy. however- we prefer stuff that pulls from stuff Thematically versus outright design conversion. think color palette and design motifs.)
- scifi (includes tech in general, such as old computers and operating systems)
- nature (anything goes but bonus points for beach stuff)
- rave (includes 2000's deviantart/sparkledog aesthetics, think 90's-early 2000's in general)
- toy (self explanatory. any toy stuff goes)
- love (interpret as you will but hearts/valentine's theme is always good)
