[SUPPLEMENT] Public Broadcasts
#1
welcome to the global public broadcasting channel! here you can post announcements, events, and roleplay prompts for other people to respond to in their own roleplay threads, both new and established! these events do not have a specific time period for response by default, though if you really want to impose something, we can't stop you!

RULES:
  • in your post, specify what areas of morbit it is being broadcasted to and whether it is the main universe/timeline or an alternate universe/timeline
  • spoiler any potentially triggering material, and do not include anything overly graphic to begin with
  • do not use other peoples' characters or settings without their express permission (this includes specific canon examples under most circumstances- see next point)
  • in the case of using canon material, either mark as an alternate universe somewhere at the start of the post, ask permission from applicable team member(s) beforehand (and listen to their responses), or do so in a way that would not hypothetically impact the overall canon in a way that'd be disruptive.
  • while roleplays typically are not canon, they do contain canon characters when team members are involved, and we would rather not have to write around someone making a horror attack one of our characters' houses in the main timeline just because. use an alternate timeline if you really want to cause damage to established details, but please don't do so just for the sake of fucking with canon materials- you are trying to prompt community interaction, not solely team ones, and we are not obligated to reply to your posts!

some examples of public broadcasts:
  • weather events! simple, but could be interesting- you never know how a character feels about a snow day!
  • a danger in a local area- could be a criminal threat, could be a terror/dangerous animal, who knows
  • a major holiday- mostly reserved for team members to establish worldbuilding stuff, but if a team member establishes a holiday, feel free to piggyback and do smaller scale events!
  • local events! maybe a store has a sale, maybe a park has a local class going on, you name it!
  • notify of a new RP thread you have going on! have a specific thread you want to advertise, and would work in the form of a public broadcast? you can advertise it here!
  • whatever else you can think of!

feel free to post away!

happy holidays!

no matter what region you're from, or whatever holidays you're into, lots of places have this time of year as a festive season, and we hope you're enjoying the season out there! please remember to stay warm if your region gets cold around now, and stay indoors if it gets particularly nasty outside.

if you're looking for ideas of things to do, it's a perfect time for parties, meeting new people at community get togethers and swaps, and making resolutions in preparation for the new year!

spring is approaching many zones, and it's important to consider the changing seasons and everything that comes with them- watch out for passing storms, and enjoy everything spring has to offer!

spring has sprung once again, but beware- there's been reports of odd, unnatural rainstorms sweeping the planet! surely it's nothing an umbrella and raincoat can't fix, right?

[PLEASE BE AWARE OF ANIMALS AND OBJECTS FALLING FROM THE SKY, SHRED/SCRAPSTORM PRESENCES, UPTICK IN TCP SPAWNING, RESTLESS GHOSTS, TEMPORARY MOTIF SWITCHES, PROXY GLITCHES, AND OTHER EXTRANATURAL PHENOMENON.]

the storm rages on...weather reports all across morbit are saying that there's no sign of the weather stopping any time soon, and many say that TCP abilities are going haywire. what this means and whether it's permanent has yet to be seen.
