Try and draw out your end of the conversation for as long as you can. If this guy's going to give you exactly two minutes, you've got to control as much of those two minutes as possible. Go on autopilot and ramble as much as you can, but don't agree to anything and avoid talking about personal subjects. Something like...

"Um, hi. Thanks for the help with the medical bills. Life is going kind of fast for me right now, and I'm really not comfortable being a big media thing or whatever. I just need a week or so to sort some things out, maybe more. It's hard to say right now."

Once your two minutes are up, don't say anything else and make a beeline directly to the car.
