Species Additions: Flora/Fauna Additions: Character Design Additions: Worldbuilding Additions (to be added to the wiki!): Wiki Additions: One-Shot Releases:
What did we work on in October?
Overall, we’re still working on our massive overhaul project, and the website work we’re doing is going a little slower than anticipated- but we’re still shooting to get it done by the end of the year! A lot of personal life matters came up and derailed our work schedule, but we’re pushing through and making it happen as best we can. We also set up the Bounty Board system for commissions, gave a themed raffle a test run, and had great success with monthly sales, all of which are continuing into this next month as well. We have more community threads in the works as well, so look forward to that!

Mortis is still at work on their system project, and it now has a released name- Felid Factor! All of the base roster has been designed (all 52 of them!) and more in-depth work on their characters has been started. There’s a preview available of the first two characters in the form of a Darkest Night oneshot, available here! The overall story structure has been started for the project as well, which is no easy feat considering it involves chaining together over 50 character introductions in a way that makes sense and flows cohesively...but it’s been done! Aside from that, the TCP mirror’s been completed and is available for sharing, wiki pages are continued to be worked on, Ashtray has been updated every week successfully and is set to complete before the end of the year, and commissions have been going at a steady clip. Streaming is back to a fairly regular schedule, but there are some bumps in the road with system matters currently- please be patient with them as work may be on and off!

Comorant did a lot of fun festive design work for Halloween, and even did a Darkest Night Crankshaft special this month! He was also able to get back to Masa con Papas, updating it alongside keeping up with Ashtray updates with Ringor. Check out his new character designs in the special- they’re not only spooky, but incredibly gay and sweet.

Pear did a lot of species, flora, and fauna work this month, as well as started in on designing her first canon TCP type! Commissions have been going well, and lots of new morphs have been added to the canon.

Zenthis updated Egress again this month, in addition to finishing uploading it to the mirror.

Molasses has been working on the website along with Mraof, and has some species and character development in the works!

Ari mostly worked on Prismic Sanctum, with 5 updates total through the month. Along with that, they worked on some Darkest Night costumes with Rin for PK characters + Toluca for Knux's RP event, typed up a LOT of WIP species for the bounty board system (only a few get posted at a time), got a future Morbit character design fixed up with Twinsharks (posted in Patron chat) and beyond that, did a ton of planning for PK + Tethered.

Knux created the Darkest Night RP event and has been hard at work on the major TCPdex update!
What are we working on in November?
The bounty boards (both species and TCPdex) are still up and running, monthly raffles and sales are up, and the overhaul will continue!

Mortis is continuing on with everything they’ve been doing in October, with a focus on finishing Ashtray, working on Felid Factor, and getting those wiki pages up while waiting on the website layout to get done.

Comorant plans on updating Dopple Effect, Masa con Papas, Crankshaft, and keeping up on Ashtray updates if he can- we’ll see how it goes, but he wants to get back to as much as he can!

Pear is planning on starting a flora of the week thread, along with what she calls a “very drawn out shitpost”.

Zenthis is planning on getting another Egress update done, and maybe… more????

Molasses is going to continue work on their current projects, namely the website overhaul and their species/character development...all of which will remain under wraps for now!

Ari is ideally going to continue with Prismic Sanctum with even more regular updates; and is going to aim for at least twice a week (so 8 this month). They want to continue with Tethered, and hopefully get episode 4 out. They had a PK oneshot they were hoping to get out for Halloween, but got too busy with stuff, so hopefully that’ll come out soon- but more oneshots in general would be good, and that’s the plan. The absolute ideal would be to get out episode 3 of PK out this month, but that’s kind of a long shot; we’ll see! More characters and species stuff are likely, so look forward to that!

Knux is going to continue his work on the major TCPdex update in the next month, and is planning to open up personal commissions again as well!

Community Involvement

For this month’s worldbuilding topic, we’re taking note of something just about every morbitian needs. Food! It’s around the time of year for feasting, so what better topic than that? You can take a look here for our thread where you can ask all sorts of food related questions for us to answer. No question is too silly and this is your chance to help flesh out morbit canon.

We didn’t get any responses on our suggestion request last month, so we’re going to pose it again: here’s the quote from the last post;

The feedback we’re looking for this month is regarding character enrichment and fan involvement. One of the main things we’ve gotten input on recently is a sense of character oversaturation- everybody’s got fan characters at this point and we need to find ways for people to use these characters and get a richer experience out of having them. We want to find ways to let people take all these characters that live in Morbit and help them start really fleshing them out in ways that make them feel more fulfilling to have, be that through roleplaying, forum games, anything that people can suggest. Along those lines, we need to start encouraging fans to be more involved in the community and providing resources for them to set up their own events and activities- what do you need to help get things rolling? What features would help you enrich this community? Let us know!

Thank you all for supporting us, and we hope to hear from you in this thread!
