Volley clings to my arm and begins sobbing onto my shoulder. It's a startling movement, and I jump a bit at it at first, before she fully settles in. Gently, cautiously, I attempt to pet her hair.
VOLLEY: He and I were... friends, we knew each other back before we--
VOLLEY: We watched cartoons together, we would go out and pick flowers together--
VOLLEY: When he came here, he always wondered if he could talk with the plants, since they seemed--
She's no longer coherent.
RIJK: It's okay to cry, Volley.
