Homeward has missed the last boat out of Luxson. The painting in their bag seems to get heavier as the reality hits them. They can try to get the next boat that leaves in a few days but the police would notice by then that the painting is missing. Homeward ducks into an alley. It's hard doing what's right, especially when the world is against you.
