Let's Play Mewgenics: The Bad Care Run
#20
(I forgot to take screenshots during the setting out screen again, so sadly no combined shot this time)

After that success, we're going to try out the Junkyard again, this time along the normal route and to gather more coins. It'll also give us a chance to trial how Mr. Marcel's disorders interact and use the last of our cats with 4s in their stats.

We were going with a ranged setup for this party, but the ability rolls had other ideas. Oscar forms the core of our team, with Zealot and Venerated Touch providing good melee capability while Mr. Marcel's high speed and discounted abilities offset his low damage from Dyslexia. Ciela gets an Electric Coin and Fuzzy Dice to boost her stats and provide level up rerolls, finally Arianna is given Quartz Necklace, which combined with Inspire and Five, should allow her to do some minor tanking as she gives mana.

Party Stats:
Cleric Oscar
Slimy Mask
Human Brain
Sudden Affliction
Zealot
Venerated Touch

Thief Mister Marcel
Boxing Charm
Swap
Sever Artery
More!
Dyslexia
Ebsossive Covsuleimp Ridordes

Hunter Ciela
Fuzzy Dice
Electric Coin
Feather Feet
Needle Shot
Hazardous
PTSD
Pica

Mage Arianna
Quartz Necklace
Find a Rock
Inspire
Five

THe first few battles go well, with plenty of coins to be had and two item boxes giving us some more equipment, but events are a bit different, with Oscar and Mr. Marcel acquiring cursed items. At least The Tick has a positive effect...

Party Changes:
Cleric Oscar
+The Tick
+Ethereal

Thief Mister Marcel
+Sludge Mask
+Greedptes
+Technology

Hunter Ciela
+Monocle

Mage Arianna
+Bandage
+A Snack

This time we are fighting a new miniboss, Magnus! Note that Oscar's Tick has reduced the miniboss's movement range, making it safer to move around. We collect most of the coins and bring Arianna forward in hopes of tanking with her, while Oscar is kept back to build up mana for Ethereal.
The confusion caused by Oscar attacking causes the miniboss to miss a turn, and when he gets a spin in, it is adsorbed by the holy shield, With a crit from Ciela and a back blow by Oscar, he's finished.

Taking the Hard Route, there isn't much in the way of danger, but we do find an interesting item - the mind stone - which we have plans for later. The shop also doesn't prove too interesting, though we buy a Large Catnip Baggy in case we need extra damage from Ciela.

Party Changes:
Cleric Oscar

Thief Mister Marcel
-Boxing Charm
+Fuzzy Dice

Hunter Ciela
+Two of Spades
+Large Catnip Baggy
+Arrow Flurry
+Traps

Mage Arianna
+Inferno
+Ice Paws

Predictably Ciela does an incredible amount of damage to the boss, who can't seem to stop bouncing into walls when hit. As the party closes in on the Chicken, our hunter also controls the bombs planted by Radical Rat.
After a bit of finaggling, we finally get the rat in the perfect position to land another volley of arrows, but the elite buff pushes them out of harms way! Thankfully the other cats are able to finish the boss off... now on to the Junkyard!

Entering the Junkyard, the amount of Jerkyls showing up let us make good use of Needle Shot and Five, sending sparkles in enough quantity to take them out before they transform, though this does put Arianna at somewhat low health before the Miniboss fight.

Party Changes:
Cleric Oscar
+Thou Shall Not Covet

Thief Mister Marcel
-Fuzzy Dice
+Boxing Charm
+Spring
+Wseetspto
+9 damage!

Hunter Ciela

Mage Arianna
+Bucket of Lard
+Used Hat
+Citrus berry
-A Snack

We're facing a Depressing Can Creeper, and already we can see that the debuff has prevent us from exploiting Dyslexia to give Mr. Marcel 9 damage attacks, damn. Despite this, it is still close enough to Ciela for her to remove most of its HP.
Unfortunately, despite the enormous damage buff given by PTSD, we can't move to an angle where we can hit the miniboss, so we may have problems here with it so close to our party. Thankfully it chooses to expose itself to Oscar and we are able to de-shell it with a few darts. This also removes the elite debuff!
We send the rest of Mr. Marcel's turn using Swap to rotate some cats around, and grabbing the catnip so we have enough mana to use Groom, preventing damage.
Predictably the miniboss teleports and downs Ciela, though, and our other cats can't move far enough to reach it!
Of course, now we are going to have another downed cat next round due to the creep affecting Mr. Marcel, as even though Arianna was able to take it to 1 HP, doing so froze it! As Arianna takes her next turn, Five automatically finishes off the boss, but we need to focus on healing Mr. Marcel next battle as he has leveled up past the full heal.

Taking the Hard Route, we grab a furniture box and heal up Mr. Marcel once a standoff with some Hosts is established. We also find some Cheese, a rather good weapon for tanking cats, so it goes on Arianna.

Party Changes:
Cleric Oscar
+Wrath of God
+PCP

Thief Mister Marcel
+Boxing Charm
-Spring
+Big Bucket of Lard

Hunter Ciela
+Bucket of Lard
+Electric Coin

Mage Arianna
-Bucket of Lard
-Citrus berry
+Cheese
+Quartz Necklace
+Human Brain

Fighting the two dogs again, the shielded buff on Chubs should not be an issue, as we can remove it before our high damage cats take their turn. We set up our cats, using PCP on Oscar as we can remove the debuff with Mr. Marcel next round, while the bosses flail around. Due to Groom also being cheaper from Dyslexia we can even remove the immobility from Slime Mask!
On round 4, our use of Arrow Volley severely poisons Oscar from Chubs' retaliations, so we clear that and start to move him out of there until he has the mana to cast Ethereal. As the dog follows him and Ciela, we unleash an Inferno to finish the single dog we have to go out of our way to kill.
As Nubs counts down, we move the party into cover without any issues. It seems like the Cheese has been giving Arianna some serious gains though...
We made quite a haul this adventure, with Witch's Nose, Spring, Cheese, Bandages, Monocle, and the Mind Stone being kept for later. We also upgrade our food storage. Next adventure, the Boneyard, ideally!
