divination 4 bios [CLOSED]
#1
i'll probably add more stuff when i'm feeling a little more confident in my art skills again / have time for writing longer pieces, but - [edit 12/2, breaking up the listings to change around amount of content and prices. cost up, but so's the amount of detail you get drastically!]

divination character base - batches of 3 okay!

1. past/present/future reading, 75 points. you get a list of the cards i drew w/ their meanings, as well as - if applicable - a gut association with them, followed by a blurb with a character's history and motivation. i source from multiple decks and meanings to get a multi-faceted character. if u got one before, these are gonna be longer, as well as -

2. mind/body/spirit reading, 50 points. the latter half! separating these properly, this is so i can go more in depth w/ a blurb about the tcp's personality and self. i'll do a shorter "this tcp" quote for summary and ease of use.

if u want to get both, that's only 100 points!!

Show Contentold listing:

experimental poetry - 75 points.
same gimmick but a three card reading turned into a short poem instead. i like doing these they're fun and i want more practice with poetry! they take more effort for me though, so. here's an example.

1. past - nine of swords. mounting fears, anxieties, or troubles. take stock of them!
present - five of pentacles reversed. a *physical* challenge that you may not be able to overcome. a struggle that hasn't passed.
future - xvi, the tower. the changing point. crisis, losing control, but..

"This TCP's had a tough time of it. Metaphorical swords hang over their head, and piecing the details together made it feel pretty overwhelming. Everything *might* go wrong, but - at the bottom of things, they can only come up from there."

2. past - i, the magician. a purposeful decision, taking action; power, excitement.
present - two of swords reversed. a conflict between two people or options. reversed, you may feel unable to choose or mediate.
future - xvii, the star. inspiration and calm. hope for the future.

"This TCP knows what they want in life. They got caught up in their choices but they've come through it calm and excited for the future. Things will be okay!"

3. past - queen of cups. symbolically, cultivating a relationship, romance, or family; if a person, a caring guardian with ideals of her own.
present - queen of swords. development of an idea (scientific, political, or generally tactile); a regal, practical leader.
future - five of cups. intense regret, something you should have appreciated more - but there's hope, and a chance to change your priorities.

"This TCP tries their best to care for their flock. They can tend to be too practical, acting a little cold, but they're trying to change that."

1. past - ace of swords. the beginning of a new challenge, taking action confidently.
present - five of wands reversed. conflict with someone as determined and talented as yourself. reversed, this card warns you not to give in easily.
future - queen of cups reversed. a caring, motherly figure; the cultivation of a romance or family. reversed, this card suggests you care for yourself as well in a time of emotional unrest.

"This TCP has an ambition they'll stand for and a familiar, ever-present rival to match. They tend to get a little too wrapped up in not giving in, but they've started to become friends around the edges of their arguments. That makes their rivalry a lot less stressful, too!"

--

2. past - knight of pentacles reversed. symbolically, travel by foot or slow progress; as a person, a serious and hardworking 'knight'. reversed, they've lost their way. their perfectionism may have slipped, or they may be having emotional difficulties.
present - three of pentacles reversed. teamwork, nurturing a new opportunity together. reversed, selfishness and poor focus. a group that can't work together, or carrying too much on your own.
future - page of wands. inspiration, a cheerful and ambitious, if childish, figure; courage to move on in a barren landscape.

"This TCP is naive and hard-working - they don't have much experience with teamwork but they think they have an idea for how to try. They won't give up, even if it's hard."

--

3. past - xxi, the world. the end of one part of your life and the beginning of another; synthesis, hope, accomplishment.
present - king of wands reversed. a troublesome, arrogant leader or a major obstacle. immaturity and burnout matched with fear.
future - seven of pentacles reversed. a sign to move on from a conflict or project that won't return your efforts. scattered focus or distraction, needing to rest and appreciate what you have accomplished already.

"This TCP got somewhere special! They pushed themself to their limits to get what they wanted, and then a little more - they've burned themself out, but they should be able to rest on their laurels for a while and feel proud of themself for their accomplishments. They tend to get ahead of themself."

@chemtrails for your democracy type!! first try at the new formatting, and i got a lil too excited about the backstory (laughs)..

past, present, future -

the lovers reversed - disharmony, one-sidedness, loss of balance. an off-kilter amount of love and labor given, or a conflict you can't reconcile. with a person, or within yourself.

ace of cups reversed - wasted emotions, blocked creativity, emptiness. a cup upturned or spilling, w/ the potential draining out.

ten of wands - accomplishment, responsibility, burden. a hard-won victory, efforts coming to fruition all together. a heavy responsibility stacking up now that it's complete.

"Not a born leader, but one by choice! The charming, cheerful center of their social circle or colony. This democracy type has lived up to their typing, always trying to be fair and generous to the people who rely on them - sometimes, at their own expense. They do try to make everyone happy, but when people won't compromise or have compassion for others, they can hit a wall. What can you do with that, after all? They're not the most logical or mature themselves, sometimes unrealistic about the possibilities, but they care more than anything and that's enough for their role to spread. They want to believe that everyone is good at heart. Their influence keeps growing as well as their group of friends, and with the amount of people they know, have helped, and their own feelings, someday they'll realize they don't need to take everything onto their own shoulders anymore. The people around them can help each other as well, and they can delegate. Even the toughest problems tend to work out, though it might take what seems like a small miracle rather than a problem solved organically. Good thing they're lucky! If the world is fair, then they're being well repaid for their care for everyone else by things turning out alright."

mind, body, spirit -

the chariot reversed - lack of control, aggression. becoming a passive observer as things burn.

king of cups - compassion, control, balance. regaining control of the situation and their life, giving to others. a generous, diplomatic figure.
page of cups reversed - immaturity, escapism, lack of creativity.

a childish figure, full of wonder, but they may come unmoored from reality in their rush, boredom, or in a temper.

“This hard-working TCP devotes themselves to helping others as best as they can, their head in the clouds. They can tend to get ahead of themselves and lose control of the situation, but they’re doing their best! Things always seem to work out okay in the end - sometimes out of the blue!”
