SPECIMEN NAME: Puzzled TYPE: BotleyPRONOUNS: They/Them OVERSEERS: [REDACTED], Professor Annex (writing), [REDACTED], [REDACTED], MODIFICATIONS: None TESTING NOTES: The standardized introduction led us to find a curious nature in this one…I have been assigned to their case as a result. Puzzled, as the name they chose for themself implies, loves puzzles and challenges. This is an excellent opportunity for us to study TCP problem solving and cooperation- especially in stressful situations. Puzzled is to be placed in trial chambers with mental teasers and well, puzzles, and to be given minimal predetermined rewards- I want to see what they choose on their own. After all, that is a puzzle in and of itself, is it not? TRIAL CHAMBERS [TRIAL 3] In this chamber (the first I am presiding over) , Puzzled was given a puzzle cube to work through. Matching the colors on each side lead to a door opening, revealing a new switch. Once every switch was pressed, they earned an impression and were allowed to return back to their room! They are a very diligent learner. I can see why they were assigned to me. [Written here is a little squiggle- possibly a smiley face?] Rewards: -Tangle Toy Questions: -What is a botley? [TRIAL 4] Puzzled was introduced to another TCP, Angelo, in this chamber. They were required to solve a two-person button puzzle together, and while Angelo struggled at first to understand the task at hand, Puzzled was able to lead him through it and succeeded. However, once their doors were opened and presumably allowed to go back into their rooms, a maze raised from the floor and the two were separated. Puzzled seemed upset by this, but managed to escape the maze far sooner than Angelo. They were even more upset by the fact that they couldn’t seem to help him, and returned to their room with a horrible mood. Rewards: -Cell Phone Questions: -How do I find Angelo again? [TRIAL 6] Another maze trial chamber for Puzzled. Even with the negative associations post-Angelo, Puzzled is excellent at solving these tasks, and seems to get a great deal of satisfaction from them. They’ve already figured out to stick to one side of the maze in order to find their way out, and we’ll have to add more obstacles soon. Perhaps some harsh noise generators to scramble the senses… This maze was full of twists and turns, and we kept things interesting by sealing and unsealing exits every time they got close. It did not deter them, however- and they managed to rush out right as an exit began to reseal, having figured out the pattern in which we were controlling things. They seemed rattled by this challenge’s intensity, and requested a comfort object. I hope they enjoy the one I selected for them. [another tiny smiley] Rewards: -Small Security Blanket Questions: -Can I have an easier one next? [Yes, yes you can.] |
