Fine. Let's ask if they want to learn the other things I suggested tho.

hoo boy that's a lot to teach at once, isn't it? I agree with what you listed, but I'd say to limit it to,
>Teach Annie: Cartography, Photography
>Teach Oops: Field Research, Swordplay

>Give Annie: Map, Spyglass, Notebooks, Pens, a camera.
>Teach Annie: navigation, Cartography, writing, journaling, photography, Moral Philosophy

>Give Oops: Multitool, Sample jars, field Microscope.
>Teach Oops: Science, field research, the concept of crushing student debt, Swordplay, Botany

>create camera and binoculars
I think these are a good idea to bring along.

Lantern, Scissorblade with sheath, and sleeping bag.
If we can still GIVE,
Give Oops: Polaroid Camera
Posted by knux400 - 02-07-2020, 05:14 AM
Does the GIVE command still work? If so, GIVE Annie a rubber bodysuit. That should help with her stability issues, but she's free to take it off if she's uncomfortable!
Posted by Iguanaiguana - 12-16-2019, 03:51 PM
Annie should bring back the lantern and put it in the canvas bag, and if she can wear the waist sheath, put it on and bring the scissorblade.

>TEACH BOTH: DUNE BUGGY OPERATION

After a moment of discussion, the two cats agree that Oops should drive. It's taller, and has a more solid form than Annie. Annie agrees, but still seems a bit disappointed.

Oops removes its bag and sits in the driver's seat, handing the canvas bag to Annie as it takes her ration box and sets it on the buggy's floor. It does know a way she can help, what if she heads back to Oops' tent to grab anything they might need for their trip?

Annie is delighted by the offer, and quickly hurries to the tent.

What should Annie take back with her?

CURRENT INVENTORIES:

Buggy: One ration box
Oops: Nothing
Annie: Canvas bag (contents: frog book, encyclopedia)

TEACH both: dune buggy operation
they can decide together who wants to drive.

>CREATE: DUNE BUGGY

A dune buggy spawns in the center of the tent village. It has four seats, with space at the bottom for holding extra items. Once one of your cats learns how to operate it, you'll have an easy and quick way to traverse the desert.

CREATE: dune-buggy

Clearly the only way to adventure in the desert

>TEACH BOTH: LOVE, FAMILY

Oops clicks in contemplation as it processes this, while Annie continues her slow ascent up the jungle gym.

So, love is a lot more than just that. It's a strong feeling for someone close to you, like your family. Given what it knows now, this makes the void its parent, doesn't it? Does this mean Annie is its little sister, since Oops is a few minutes older than her? It has to look after her, right? And in turn the void will look after both of them.

Oops looks up to the sky, grateful for this new knowledge. It thanks you again, for creating it and Annie and making you all a family. It says it loves you, and this time you know that it means it. It wouldn't mind going on an adventure either, but it wants to know what Annie thinks first.

You wonder how Annie hasn't hurt herself so far as she pauses her slow ascent. With a calm whoosh, she says she wants to go on an adventure, but doesn't really know what that means. Are they leaving the tents? What do cats usually bring for adventures?

Now would be probably be the best time to prepare, as the void informs you that once you go an adventure, you won't be able to give them any gifts, teach them anything, nor create anything for them until you return to the base.

hmm... ok! tell the cats we might go exploring in a little bit, but for now they can play as much as they like. maybe ask for their opinions on what to add to the desert, or stuff to give them?
TEACH both of them the concepts of love and family. theyre some pretty important things!

>GIVE: CRYSTAL CROWN

Annie apologizes for startling Oops. She didn't mean to, she just didn't know what she was thinking. Oops sighs and says it's okay, but she should try to not do that in the future. She almost scared the fluid out of it!

Oops then remembers to give the ration box to Annie. Annie is quite grateful for the gift, and Oops decides to take the time to teach Annie about friendship. They're friends now, so friends shouldn't scare each other.

(Annie now understands FRIENDSHIP!)

While they talk, the void seems to stall for a bit. Since there's now two kitties, and you didn't specify which one to give the crown to, so it seems confused for a moment. Then, it decides...

...To give the crown to Annie! Annie makes delighted swishing sounds, while Oops congratulates her on having such a pretty crown, even if it's a bit hard to see against the bright desert sky.

The two of them seem to be hitting it off pretty well. You decide to leave them to it, and suggest that they should spend some time getting to know each other. But first, you'll make some things to help with that.

>CREATE: PLAYGROUND, SIMPLE BOARD GAMES

There's a small rumble for a moment, before a playground pops up to the north of the small tent city. It's not much, just a see-saw, a jungle gym with monkey bars, and a sandbox. There are also two boxes of board games by the see-saw, the white box being called "APOLOGIES" while the green box is called "LEVIATHANS AND LIFTS."

Oops, with its knowledge of games and activities, is absolutely overjoyed! They have so many more things to do now! Excitedly, they drag Annie over to the jungle gym, explaining the new activities they can do along the way. Once they're there, Oops decides to sit down and continue its book on frogs, while Annie starts to explore the jungle gym.

(Annie now understands GAMES AND ACTIVITIES!)

As Annie changes shape and winds around the jungle gym, you notice her new crown sliding around on her head. You gently warn her to be careful, and she says she is. Oops is reading aloud about green tree frogs, and it takes you a minute to realize that it's reading to Annie...

Your collective heart swells with love for your creations. You express this to both of your cats, to which they both say they love you too. Annie is a bit more hesitant, so Oops tries to explain love to her. Since it doesn't have a full understanding of the subject, it mostly just says that someone you love is someone who gives you presents, which isn't entirely wrong.

During all of this, the void informs you that the TCP limit has been increased to 3, only to announce that the limit has been reached before you can think of a new cat to add.

Huh, strange. This is set up like a game, isn't it? Does that mean someone else is playing too?
Posted by knux400 - 09-10-2019, 02:31 PM
Well, I see you two are getting along nicely! Annie, this is Oops. Oops, Annie. Why don't you two get to know each other for a bit? We'll make some things to help you out.

>TEACH ANNIE: SPEECH, READING

>CHECK: ANNIE

Annie is doing okay right now. She likes the desert, but doesn't feel particularly strongly about anything else. Her body is constantly shifting ever so slightly, due to the material she is made out of.

Annie's health is currently good.

Annie's inventory is currently empty.

Annie is a SAND-TYPE TCP, which falls under the NATURE category. NATURE TCPS can either create more of the object their type is based off of or control it to a certain extent, occasionally both. As a SAND-TYPE, Annie can control sand, including her own body. Small tasks won't cost any health, but more complicated tasks will until Annie stops.

>TEACH OOPS: TEACHING

Oops can now teach skills to other cats! But only skills that Oops already knows.

You inform Oops that its new friend is outside if it wants to meet her. Her name is Annie, and she's made of sand, so she might be hard to see at first. Oops says it'll be out in a second, as soon as it finishes this page about "packman" frogs.

With Annie, you take it a bit more slowly. First, you ask her how she's doing. She says she's fine, thank you for asking. Compared to how exciteable Oops is she's very...mellow. Tranquil even. You tell Annie that there's another cat here named Oops, and it'll be coming out to meet her soon. You just wanted to let her know in advance, in case she gets startled. Annie thanks you, and says that she thinks they'll get along just fine.

As soon as it's done, Oops puts its book in its bag and heads outside, taking one of the ration boxes with it. Friends like gifts, right? The void is its friend, and it's given Oops lots of gifts! Maybe Annie would like getting a gift too!

Boo!

It looks like Annie already has a bit of a sense of humor. Since she only traveled a short distance, her health is still at GOOD.
