A few thoughts, agreeing with the not making promises you can't keep and being ready for things going wrong.
1. It is likely correct that there is no place fully free from potential fallout, should a catastrophe strike.
2. It is unknown when things may go horribly wrong.
3. It would be wise to avoid sugar-coating things. Keeping expectations realistic is probably worthwhile.
4. In the event Chops does have to stake it out on their own without help, or really just most emergency scenarios, it wouldn't be the worst idea to at minimum pass on first aid. Other skills probably wouldn't be a bad idea either.
5. Speaking of emergencies, it would probably be worthwhile to draft emergency plans for evacuation, reconvening, and other such things that would work even if somehow communication is disrupted or other such things.
