Survival types can sacrifice health to enter an ascended form. While in this form, they can see dangerous or life-threatening situations others are in, and they can offer assistance to them. This assistance comes in a variety of forms depending on the exact situation, and the survival type has no control over the type of assistance it will give. The assistance given is always some form of internal change, such as greater willpower, improved coping skills, or quicker thinking. While these effects do not instantly remove the situation, it does give the subject the means to escape from it on their own.
