oh he'd feel super weird about it honestly- i feel like he'd wear nice suits in neutral (probably black or dark brown) colors to contrast with the more detailed + colorful grid patterns caused by his motif

Why don't Chief and Spider consider their relationship romantic? I don't mean to say that they should, but as someone with very little real knowledge on the topic, reading their character profiles it kind of sounds like they cared about eachother to a degree that could be called love, so I'm curious as to why they don't.
Do people ever accidentally think they're a couple when meeting them? I feel like that would happen often (at least if someone were to meet Spider and Chief at the same time). How does Chief feel when that happens?

chief and spider are both hesitant to label any of their relationships as partnerships, due to prior experience being burned by it in chief's case and being unsure about her romantic orientation in spider's case. that said, there's definitely Something going on between them and neither are sure what to do about it.
