BESTIARY QUEST [name pending]
#3

  1. How large was your creature?
Creature was approximately 10 meters in length, approximately 5 meters tall at top of carapace
  2. What Earth animal does it best resemble, and how?
Creature best resembles a mixture of a Rhinoceros Beetle, an Elephant, and a Glyptodont. Creature's head bore two large sharp tusks as well as a very prominent downwards curving horn emerging from it's apparent forehead region, located between the creature's 5 eyes. Creature had 6 total legs, bearing resemblance to that of earth Pachyderms, more specifically those of Loxodonta africana, it's front two pairs resembling the front legs, and it's rear pair resembling the back legs of the aforementioned elephant. Creature's back was covered in a carapace resembling a Rhino beetle wing case, but textured like the shell of a Glyptodont. Creature's tail was most similar to that of a Glyptodonts more specfically Doedicurus. Tail was about a third of the creature's total body length ending in a spherical head with several thagomizers protruding outward.
  3. How did your creature behave in the field?
Creature portrayed herbivorous characteristics, grazing on plants lower to the ground, occasionally digging up tubers and fungi with it's tusks. Creature emitted a humming noise from it's back, sound most resembled the buzz of insect wings, but pitched down appropriately for the creature's size. Creature also seemed solitary in nature, as it was encountered alone, with no others of it's species able to be located within scanner range. Creature was unbothered by several smaller creatures it encountered in it's path, but acted aggressively towards a creature resembling a large (approx 18 meter long, 1.5 meter diameter) member of Ophiophagus hannah, if said species was purple, had 4 highly developed arms, and 5 rows of shark-like teeth. Said ophidoform appeared to be feasting on a kill, but was scared off (taking it's kill with it) by the threat display of the creature I was tracking. Threat display consisted of loud snorting, followed by stomping and tail lashing and finally a fake charge.
