I think you need to decide if the current, anxiety-ridden situation will be worse with the risk of snapping back into Computer form and out of a new body.
Yes, the current one is clunky and scary and new. But it's consistent with what it does. The idea of having a sword hanging over your head that if you push yourself too far, you'll snap back to this and have to deal with that, all again--
What's the worse choice?
I think I'd lean towards trying to understand this body first. Even if you choose to accept a new one- and owe who-knows-what- you'll at least know what you might snap back to in the future.
