Caine is a member of the Comorbid System, and is considered one of the more frequent fronters and a foundational split. Serving as the primary host for a large stretch of the system's childhood years, he prefers to stay out of the front as much as possible as an adult (and fails to do so). 
His inability to care for their external body are an unfortunate combination with his most critical flaw- a refusal to feed on other people. Allowing Caine to front is a dangerous game according to the rest of the system, as more likely than not, the body will starve and be left to rot.

====Personality====
Caine is a nervous person, often stumbling over his words if trying to speak at all, and tends to suffer from chronic foot-in-mouth disease in the process. This tends to take precedence with others' opinions of him, but those willing to listen to him further can find that he does have his share of interests and desires in life, just as much as anyone else in-system. He adores horror films, particularly low-budget ones, and cites them as the source of the entire system's pursuit of making the perfect horror screenplay. When asked if he himself writes, he laughs, avoids eye contact, and says no, not anymore, and that the others are much more skilled. 

His largest goals in life, however, are far more hard to pry out of him. No one really knows what he's after, even if they're close enough to understand there //is// something. He always seems aimless and insists that his modus operandi is to get whatever needs to be done while he's required over with and get the hell out of the front before he causes "more problems". All the same, there are moments where his true character shines through- when he is forced to put his self hatred and anxiety to the side, he is a deeply protective and devoted person, and even if he doesn't //say// it out of fear of rejection or disgust, he would do absolutely anything for someone he's allowed to love.

It's hard, however, for him to get to that point. The sheer level of self hatred that Caine is steeped in is near-impenetrable for most, and even those he would actively consider friends would easily attest to his inability to internalize. This grows even more unbearable for Caine to deal with when it comes to the nature of the system's blood fever, and how immensely strong his mood swings and hunger escalate when their collective body is unfed.
