PRE-INSTALLED GAME

Here's an install with all of the FriendZoo Base Game, ready with .exe + Rez DLL edits for you to use, as well as all of the base game downloads ready to go! This does not include:

• Other sweaters/pants/shirts/party hats aside from the solids- this is to prevent the base game from being super packed and possibly slow to load, though you are welcome to download those individually as desired.
• Original breeds- it is recommended to download these or copy them from your Petz game if you want to play with overwriting files either you or other people are using, but they are not included for the sake of ~immersion~.
• Any future updates- please keep scrolling for those!

This install comes with a modified exe file. To get the game to run with PetzA, you'll need to follow these instructions:

1) Download the Pre-installed Game zip, and unzip it. Place the resulting folder in your documents or desktop- somewhere that is not Program Files.

2) Go to a vanilla install of Petz- if you've played previously, you should be able to use your normal copy. If you don't have one available, you can download a fresh copy here, from Yabiko. Make a copy of the Petz 4.exe and name it "PetzA.exe". Overwrite the file of the same name in the FriendZoo main folder.

3) Run the UpdateWriteTime.bat script found in the main FZ folder. When prompted for the name of the file, put "Petz 4" without quotes.

4) You should now be able to run the game without issue!

EXE EDITS

This is the edited .exe used for FZ, with tons of edits to make the game more flavored towards Morbit and the roleplay. Please read the above instructions for how to make it work with PetzA!

REZ DLL EDITS

These are seperated by case colours! Pick the one you like most, you only need one. You can save them all and switch them out at any time.

Place the "Petz 4 Rez.dll" of your choice and the "petzsplash.txt" file into your game's resource folder.

IMPORTANT: These edits have a LOT of different stuff in them, not just case skins. It also contains mice and essential data to make the playscenes work properly.

CASE PSD

If you'd like to make your own custom friendzoo case, we provide a base for you.

All you need is an image processing software that can edit .PSD files, and Tinker from Sherlock Software.

The case's chassis only has 2 images to edit, both are included as seperate folders in the file. once you have made your desired colour edits, you need to save them as individual, transparent .PNG files not exceeding the included size-guides.

For quick reference, the sizeA sprite must be 172x252 pixels, and the sizeB sprite must be 326x249 pixels, else they will not line up!

To insert them into your game, use Tinker to open up one of the "Petz 4 Rez.dll" files provided with friendzoo. You may have to select "Show All files" to get it to show up. When Tinker prompts you to select a sprite to edit, pick the one labelled CASE.

Your SizeA smaller case graphic will go over the sprites SizeAA and SizeAB, and your larger case graphic will go over the sprites SizeBA and SizeBB. Simply click on the small "+" icon, select the frame and click "Import".

That is all! Save, and you will be done. Tinker does all of the image compression the game needs for you. Make sure your edited Rez.dll is located in your game's resource folder for it to be loaded.
