TCP: IDENTITY SESSION ? - RibbonCharm - 09-08-2019

You find yourself suddenly.

You don't know where you are, nor why you are here. All you know is the endless darkness surrounding you.

And the cacophany in your mind that follows. Many voices make themselves known at once, clouding your mind with so many conflicting thoughts. Where are you? Who are you? Why is there nothing here? Why isn't there anyone here to explain this to you? Are you alone? Have you been abandoned? Have you...

A light silences all of you, providing a moment of peace. It's some distance away, and yet its presence brings you a sense of peace. The light cuts through the darkness, appearing to call you closer, promising you warmth, safety...

Without even moving your body, if you even have one, you drift closer to the light, closer to whoever, whatever is calling you.

Come to me, just a bit closer... There you go, come on, I'm here for you. You're almost there...

You find yourself presented with a new void, this one more welcoming than the first. The only thing before you is a note, reading:

'Welcome to Tiny Cat People. Please present the void with a noun, any noun will do. I'll see you soon.'

>SPAWN: RETCON

A RETCON-TYPE TCP appears in the void, seemingly surprised by its own existence. Immediately, it begins to chatter in a high-pitched voice that sounds like the clicking of an old VCR, with a deeper, almost reversed voice layered on top. It begins to kick at the note, whose writing has now changed. It says:

"GIVE- sharing gifts makes the kitties happy and well! anything can be a gift.
CREATE- the void is pretty but has full of nothing! kitties can't walk or play on nothing.
NAME- naming kitties makes them unique and special! they like two syllables best.
TEACH- kitties have nothing but fluff in their heads! teaching things will make them skilled and strong.
CHECK- checking kitties is a good way to make sure everything's okay! sometimes they have secrets.
SPAWN- if you already have a kitty, you'll need more to keep them company! spawning with words helps you make more, but only if the limit says it's ok.
KILL- sometimes kitties aren't nice to eachother, or go bad along the way. this helps you keep things friendly!"

The note appears to be an automated message, meaning that whoever called you here is gone for now.

The void informs you that the TCP limit for now is 1.

>NAME: OOPS

The newly-christened Oops clicks in disappointment at the sound. But, it'll do, since this cat doesn't understand language yet.

CHECK OOPS

RE: TCP: IDENTITY SESSION ? - RibbonCharm - 09-08-2019

>CREATE: SMALL PLANETOID, COMPLETE DESERT, GRAVITY

>GIVE OOPS: ENCYCLOPEDIA, FANCY READING GLASSES

>TEACH: SPEECH, READING

[Soundtrack: C418 - Aria Math]

A pastel pink desert forms underneath your cat, and Oops easily lands on its feet on the soft sand once gravity kicks in. Purple cacti can be seen in the distance, as well as what appears to be a pyramid. The planetoid hangs in the sky like a distant moon, standing out against the bright sky.

An encyclopedia appears on the sand, with a pair of glasses resting on top of it. Using its newfound gift of speech, Oops thanks you profusely, promising to use its new presents right away.

Oops puts the glasses on right away, clicking excitedly. It doesn't understand the point of this, but it's so pretty! And it goes perfectly with its colors! Thank you, void! Thank you so much!

You tell Oops that you love it, to which Oops responds that it loves you too. It loves you, its new presents, and the pretty world it now lives in.

>CHECK: OOPS

Oops is in a great mood! It seems like things can only go up from here for it!

Oops' health is currently GOOD.

Oops' inventory is currently empty, due to lacking the space for one.

Oops is a RETCON-TYPE, which falls under the ABSTRACT category. ABSTRACT TCPS can temporarily ascend to a higher form at the cost of health, permitting them to use a special power for a few seconds. When a RETCON-TYPE ascends, it can retcon any memory, action, or even another lifeform, making it as if it never existed in the first place. There will be an additional health cost depending on how big the retcon is.

RE: TCP: IDENTITY SESSION ? - victorianflorist - 09-08-2019

GIVE: Canvas Bag Pack, Glow Worm Lantern, Large Scissorblade, Waist Mounted Sheath
CREATE: Tent City, Day/Night Cycle, A second Purple Moon

RE: TCP: IDENTITY SESSION ? - Demonskull - 09-08-2019

seconding the above, and we should GIVE oops a sleeping bag and some rations
also, TEACH the concept of time

RE: TCP: IDENTITY SESSION ? - RibbonCharm - 09-08-2019

>GIVE: CANVAS BACKPACK, GLOW WORM LANTERN, LARGE SCISSORBLADE, WAIST MOUNTED SHEATH, SLEEPING BAG, RATIONS

Your gifts all plop down in a neat little pile for Oops to sort through. It clicks eagerly as it notices how many pockets the canvas bag has, and the wriggling worms that can be barely seen from inside the lantern. It doesn't understand the sheathed thing, nor the pretty wrapped boxes, but it loves them regardless, and thanks you profusely for giving it more pretty things.

>CREATE: TENT CITY, PURPLE MOON, DAY-NIGHT CYCLE

>TEACH: TIME

A cluster of tents pops up, further expanding Oops' little world and providing it with a home.

Once a full day has passed, Oops will now be able to measure how long the days and nights are in this world, even with the lack of a sun in the sky.

RE: TCP: IDENTITY SESSION ? - knux400 - 09-08-2019

You should pick out a tent to put your stuff in, Oops. Which one do you like?

RE: TCP: IDENTITY SESSION ? - RibbonCharm - 09-08-2019

Oops starts to pack up its things, managing to cram the boxes of rations and encyclopedia into the backpack and deciding to carry the rest.

It's a lot of things for one cat to keep on itself at all time, so you ask Oops if it wants to pick out a tent to stay in. Oops looks around, then immediately begins to make a beeline for the green tent.

The inside is small, but cozy, with a decoration of a weird green creature on the floor. Oops doesn't recognize it, but thinks it's cute regardless, and once again thanks you as it gets to work with arranging its presents. Once it's satisfied, Oops unrolls its sleeping bag and sits down, admiring its new home.

The TCP limit has now been increased to 2.

RE: TCP: IDENTITY SESSION ? - King-Clod - 09-08-2019

How about a Sand type? That'd be good camouflage.

RE: TCP: IDENTITY SESSION ? - knux400 - 09-08-2019

If(sand type)= true
Then
Set tcp_val_name (sand type)= Annie

Hey Oops! I know this is kind of sudden, but I think you're going to get a friend soon!
